Car Given Out For Bolt, Is It Profitable? by RosyIsBlessed: 11:24am On Jan 14
Hello guys. I want to give out a car for bolt business. I'll like to know if it's profitable.

Please note; the person will be paying me weekly.

How much should I collect weekly and is it profitable?

What are the terms of this kind of agreement?

Who will be maintaining the car between me and the driver?

Please I need ideas as I've never done this kind of business before.

There is a thread on Nairaland (Business Section) on Uber/Bolt Business, you can ask your question there or better still go over the thread from beginning to the last page, you will surely find the answer you seek. If I am to advise you, it depends on a lot of factors for example, the type and condition of the Car in question. Besides I will advice you either go with HP option or you drive the car yourself to avoid stories, I have been through that path.

Okay thank you. But from your experience what's the downside of giving out a car for weekly returns?

Not all drivers are sincere, the possibility of your car being thoroughly abused is high, weekly remittance may not be timely or even regular, coupled with different stories typical of a Danfo drivers in Lagos. I have since retrieved my Car, it is parked in my premises right now as I speak, the possibility of you making profits is low. I can screenshot and send the topic to you, but I don't know how to share a link here and I doubt if you will even have the time to read over 5,000 pages grin go with HP option if you must do the business, but be extra careful so you don't regret please my 2 Cents.

Bolt is not a good business. I've done this before with my personal car. There's almost no profit.. so I had to stop. You keep spending the profit on car fix, fuel and car servicing. This is from me driving my car myself not to talk of someone delivering...you won't even believe they're telling you the truth.. reason why many bolt drivers have quit the business. Although there are good days... Such days are event filled Saturdays and religious festive seasons like Xmas, Sala, and ileya

If you get a good person u will enjoy it. If u jam a bad person u will regret it.
On weekly payment for a good car weekly payment is 25k-30k depending on the agreement with your driver on repairs. Normally if you are on 25k any repairs under 20k is done by the driver in a month. Any repairs above 20k is done 40% to the driver and 60% to the owner..

But if you don't want stress or wahala. Just do hire purchase and have rest of mind. In Hire purchase the driver takes care of the car repairs. Hire purchase is usually around 35-40k per week.

u might have problem with bolt. But transportation business is still the best business if you know and understand your way around it. The game is not to stick to one e-hailing App... There are indrive and Rida too.
As you have a bad experience, there are other with unbelievable wonderful experiences and even teaching others how to be successful in the business.

If you must go into the business HP is your best best, but do your due diligence before releasing your car.

The driver will care for the repairs so he'll handle the car well

On HP driver does the full maintenance
On rental car owner does the repair or can share with the driver depending on them negotiation and agreement.

Well that's my terms. In my quest for info about this, I found some who do the whole repairs. That's what will happen with my car. Can't allow anyone to mishandle my car.
