Now, I have notice same thing happening in my community here in Alimosho. At night you have boys and men, armed with sticks, attacking trucks, vans etc, asking for money. It started low key at a lonely spot, they were not brazen then. Nothing was done to stop them. Guess what, they are now emboldened, they are at the major junction, chasing vehicles, hitting those that refuse to stop, they have caused accidents and will cause more. Local goverment denies them, on their flare jackets it is written "loading and unloading". If they are not called to order, I bet you in 6 months, they will start attacking private cars. By then even if you stop them, their mouths are already wide, they will enter other forms of criminality eg kidnapping, robbery etc. Hopefully our action packed governor will take note and do something before it gets out of hand.

Irrespective of who is president now, the matter of insecurity has gotten deep into the country and it will take a lot of efforts to end it. This is not about the result of the 2023 elections at all.
