Zonefree: Call it a barbaric culture, that school churns out the best of brains in the entire country! If the culture is working for them, I think it should be maintained! What has the schools without such culture churned out? Cultist, alcoholics, prostitutes, hook-up ladies and yahoo fraudsters! Give it to them. The culture is working for them! That school alone has almost dominated the IT industry within the country. 5 Likes 1 Share |

This is a common problem with food prepared for large number of people resident in hostels. The food is exposed for quite a while before it reaches the student. The university needs to review its cleanliness in the hostel kitchens. I guess someone got sloppy. 1 Like |

Lifeinlight:Oga CU is ranked 801 in the world and the 1-807 uses mobile phone in their school. You think is by going to CU, go and rest even the best student in Nigeria will beat the so called CU student hands down. They’re just inside Religion prison by their parents 10 Likes 3 Shares |

cjudy: Well, it is their school, their rules. There are a host of other universites, apart from Covenant , that allow the free usage of phones and suchlike. Funnily enough, I attended university back when there was no GSM enabled phones (when they did come in, they were your basic Nokia phones that had no video ability), and when a tiny amount of students owned computers, the only form of AV entertainment was the television, and radio (I owned a shortwave radio eventially). We all survived without them. There was internet, but you had to go to the Internet cafe to browse....and again, video was hard to download or run then. I'm not a fan of Oyedepo by the way, and I think the preaching he does is a fake gospel. But while banning phones is a bit extreme, once upon a time, most of us managed without phones, internet, and social media. 2 Likes |
