Seun Jimoh, a renowned Nollywood actor, has urged the Nigerian government to declare a state of emergency on food production, citing the country's current hardships.

In an Instagram post, Jimoh emphasized the severity of the situation, stating that starvation should only be prevalent during wartime or in the absence of fertile lands. He called on President Bola Tinubu's administration to address hunger and food insecurity urgently.

"Dear Nigerian government, it’s time to declare a state of emergency on food production. The only time there should be famine in the land is if there is a war or there are no arable lands. There is no reason why food should be scarce in Nigeria," he wrote.
