Sadly, Victor's father passed away on May 24, 2020, at the age of 80 after an illness. Victor dedicated his Best African Player in Ligue 1 award to his late father on Twitter. The footballer has also lost his mother.

Victor completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos before focusing on his football career. As a child, he admired Didier Drogba and always had a passion for football.

Victor Osimhen Football Career

Victor Oshimen started his football career at the Ultimate Strikers Football Academy before catching the attention of scouts and coaches.

Victor's breakthrough moment came when he was invited by coach Emmanuel Amuneke and then selected to represent Nigeria's U-17 team. His stellar performance helped Nigeria qualify for the U-17 FIFA World Cup in Chile, where he made headlines by scoring two goals on his debut and eventually leading his team to victory.

He played a crucial role in helping the Golden Eaglets secure victory in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, where he also emerged as the top goal scorer with 10 goals. Oshimen was honored with the FIFA U-17 World Cup Silver Ball for his outstanding performance.

In January 2016, following his impressive displays at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Osimhen agreed to a pre-contract with VfL Wolfsburg. The agreement stated that he would officially become part of the club in January 2017.

However, after spending four months at the Bundesliga side, the talented striker suffered a shoulder injury that required surgery, abruptly ending his first season.

Victor Osimhen's battle with fitness persisted as he fell ill again after the successful surgery, causing him to miss the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

After enduring about two challenging seasons, Osimhen eventually overcame his setbacks.

Injuries and illnesses hampered his consistency, leading to a goalless spell at Wolfsburg and derailing his career in Germany.

Subsequently, Osimhen participated in summer trials with Belgian clubs Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge, but both rejected him due to his poor physical condition.

However, in August 2018, Belgian club Charleroi accepted him on a season-long loan deal, and Osimhen scored his first goal for the club on September 22.

He went on to score an impressive 20 goals in 36 games for the Belgian side.

In July 2019, Osimhen made a significant move to France, joining Lille OSC.

His career took off after the move, establishing himself as one of the league's top young strikers, scoring 13 goals in 27 appearances and finishing as Lille's top goalscorer.

In the summer of 2020, Serie A club Napoli secured Osimhen's signature for a club-record fee of €70 million potentially rising to €80 million with add-ons, making him the most expensive African transfer to date.

Since joining Napoli, Osimhen has emerged as one of the world's best young strikers, quickly becoming the club's main man after just two seasons in Italy.

On May 4, 2023, he scored a crucial 52nd-minute equalizer against Udinese in the Serie A, helping Napoli clinch the 2022/23 season title, their first Scudetto since 1990.

Off the Field Ventures

Beyond football, Victor is also a talented musician, adding another dimension to his already impressive skill set. He is known for his active presence on social media, where he shares updates with his fans and engages with followers.

Recently, Osimhen has revealed plans to initiate a project to assist people with disabilities across Africa. Inspired by the charitable work of Senegalese footballer Sadio Manè, Osimhen aims to create a unique initiative with a wider reach. While Manè concentrates on aiding the Senegalese community, Osimhen desires to extend his support beyond Nigeria to encompass all of Africa. Expressing his dedication, he states, "I am prepared to launch my own support project; I aim to utilize all available resources."

How do people arrived at this online rating of these celebrities. Saying Osimhem worth $2 is an insult to him. Somebody his net take home pay was $70k a week when he signed with Napoli some years ago. How do you arrived that he only worth $2m. Please check your records and stop confusing the public with inaccurate records.
