IBD Dende Biography

IBD Dende, originally Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun, was born on March 3, 1970, in Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria. Early in life, he confronted challenges following the loss of his parents but overcame obstacles to pursue education at St. John Anglican Primary School and Community High School in Ebute Igbooro. Although he discontinued formal education after Form 3, he continued to enhance his knowledge through online and correspondence courses, earning proficiency certificates in Business Administration and Freight Forwarding Management.

Career:
Launching his career as an apprentice under Alhaji Akeem Adigun (SOCOPAO), IBD Dende founded IBD Impex Limited in 1998, becoming a licensed importer and exporter. His business expanded into diverse sectors, including hospitality with the establishment of the IBD International Hotel in Ilaro, a five-star facility. Additionally, he ventured into the quarry, palm oil production, automobile sales, and real estate industries.

Personal Life:
IBD Dende, a family man, is married to Alhaja Mrs Omolara Dende, with whom he shares two children and has adopted several others. The couple, celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary in 2017, actively engages in philanthropy through the IBD Foundation, focusing on community development in Yewa land.

State Of Origin:
Hailing from Yewaland, Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria, IBD Dende belongs to the Egungbohun family of Igbo-Atan Quarters in Ebute Igbooro and the Elegbede family of Saala Quarters in Ayetoro-Yewa.
