Israel, Curse Of Eighth Decade & Evangelical Zionists. It is pertinent to mention that this is not the first time Jews are desperate to establish a sovereign state. They have done it twice in history. Each time their kingdom flourished massively until it collapsed to bits and pieces. The last destruction was so rampant that it left Jews scattered all over the world with no place to call home. So why is it that a nation identified as favored people in scriptures of both Christians and Muslims falls to disgrace every time they try to get up? Recently I came across two interesting analysis regarding establishment and sustenance of sovereign Jewish states. Curse of the Eight Decade First is the Curse of the Eighth decade. MENACHEM RAHAT depicts in his article how the two earlier states of Israel one by King David and the second Hasmonean kingdom lasted for around 80 years and then collapsed. The interesting thing to note however is that the collapse did not happen because of some external entity rather it was due to the internal conflict of Jews. This theory holds relevance even today as Jews are divided into several factions. Even though the author hopes that this time Jews might have learned their lesson but the recent events suggest otherwise. Evangelical Christians & their Love for Jews The second analysis was from Dr. Syed Ammar Nakshawani. In one of his videos he describes how Balfour Declaration has the underlying support of Evangelical Christians. In addition there are several documentaries such as How Evangelicals Betray Christians In The Holy Land depicting the massive moral and financial support of these Christians to Israel. Now one may question why are these Christians all of a sudden so in love with their once arch-enemies? The answer is even more fascinating. So basically Evangelical Christians believe in their own Messianic ideology just like Jews and Muslims. It relates to how the world will or rather should end. This faction of Christians who are sending billions of dollars in aid to settle Jews in Israel, believe that the second coming of Jesus will only happen once all the Jews return to their homeland which is Israel as per biblical narrative. However, the story does not end here. Jews are being lured to this particular land because Evangelicals also believe that once rapture happens i.e. Christ comes down and takes up all the Christians to the skies/heavens 2/3rd of the Jews will perish. Yes, you read that right. In simple words, Jesus will not return unless all Jews are in Israel. When they are settled Jesus will return and when he does 2/3 of all the Jews will die or be killed. The remaining 1/3 of the Jews will run to Jesus thinking of him as their Messiah and they will see wounds on his Hands and feet. Then they will realize that actually the Messiah was Jesus who they crucified then they will repent and finally convert to Christianity.
