Normally in economics, the prices are cheaper where there is less demand to drive sales... As the demand increase, there is a likelihood of the prices increasing Demand is less in the north because of their religious law that forbids alcohol consumption 2 Likes |

LocalFARMERS: This story reminds me of an argument to that transpired between two people. In one of the arguments, it was discovered that the Northern state with the highest number of beer and alcoholic drinkers ran aground a whole brewery and sent it into Oblivion. |

LocalFARMERS: 1.Jos and Kaduna are located near/within the Christian parts of the North...plus both cities have a high populaiton of non-muslim indigenes. 2.Sir Ahmadu Bello. Yes, he was an islamist, but he could also be pragmatic. 1 Like |

It depends on the part of North, tax rate, community people and the attitude of the people towards drinking beer. For example, in Kaduna there is brewery so you should expect the price not to be as high as that of South. But in Borno, for example Biu in particular, the price of Beer is high more than what is obtainable in the south. 2 Likes |

Southerners are generally greedier than Northerners in any type of business. Food is also cheaper in the North. Even fuel is generally cheaper in the north than South, unless in western Nigeria where there is more adherence to rule of law. |
