guy change ur course 2 microbiology cuz dat mark is 2 low.medcine cut off mark is usually 260 nd above nd wit dis ur jamb score u cant meet up dat mark even if u no pesin.if u can get 222 in jamb,i dont tink u can get up 2 dat in putme cuz putme is harder dan utme.take mine 4 example,i had 277 last jamb nd 234 in putme,i wasnt given anytin.4 ur own safety change ur course 2 microbiology nd try all ur best 2 finish wit first class den u can travul abroad nd do ur medcine at any skul of medcine,it will b easy there cuz 4 oau,ur brain fuse go just burn troway nd dem no go giv u anytin.2 b4 warn is 2 b4 harm

admission to any university in nigeria is all about calculation and estimation, what is your ability, after u might have knwn ur abilitx then compare it with last year and come to a conclusion maybe you can meet up, if you can, then carryon but if u cant just let the sleep dog lie because u mite regret it at the end, my candid advice is any school that you knw and love pls find out about the system of the school before you leap....remember readers are leaders.....for more info *@2go tobexin and digit is on ma previous post....wish ynu da best

the best thing you can do is to risk it or change your course, let face up to reality, the mark is truly too low for a course lyk that even in any school........so its up to you to decide...readers are leaders.....

According to the 2012 Jamb
brochure the combination for
Economics are;
English, Maths, Economics and any
of Government,
History,Geography,Lit in
English,French, Crk/Irk..
As you can see, Commerce is not
listed!!
The fact that you did Commerce
shouldn't discourage you from
studying for your post ume..
The combinations you offered in
Jamb, are exactly what will be set
for you..
You will be given commerce and
not Government..
Let me advice you.
Economics is one of the courses
that carry high cut off every year..
Last year the cut off for Economics
was 277 ( your jamb score plus
post ume score divide by 2)
Consider the following
course MERIT EKITI LAGOS OGUN
ONDO OSUN OYO Educational Less
Developed State
ECONOMICS : 277 273 265 268 266
272 275 263
Let me also say this, it is my own
personal view and experience, the
department of Economics may
decide to honour those with the
correct combination first but if you
beat the cut off marks, they'll have
no choice than to honour you..
Thank u moremony, all i need is to score 300 plus in post utme... OAU here i come.

My advise to you guys is to solve more of jamb past questions and not only OAU questions. Dont be surprised if majority of your questions are from jamb questions. Kudos to those that scored 200 and above, this is just the first hurdle you've crossed. Aim high for post utme. Be less concern about cut off marks for now, they are based on student performance for each year. Medicine was the highest last year, law might be this year. Just sit up and start afresh for your post utme. Lastly, dont estimate yourself to a particular score, preparation starts now. Dont relent. The lord is strength.

I'll advice you not to give up just yet, the poor jamb scores is general and not limited to you. I know of at least 3 people who chose medicine and had scores of below 220 even though they're already in part one in courses like microbiology(and they read very well) I'll suggest you change your 2nd choice to biochemistry or microbiology just in case you don't make medicine. To those checking the cut off for last year medicine don't forget most of us then had very high jamb & post jamb scores which resulted in the high cut off mark. I wish you guyz going for medicine and any other course the best of luck.I might not post much cos mid semester tests are fast approachind and I need to read.

gr8 aspirant of ife, truly ife is a place to be, but wise decision is inevitable, so i wud say choose oau in your jamb and in direct entry if you must go to oau but if u wish to take another its stil ok, but ure not endagerin anything if u can prove ur self.readers are leaders

@Azeez i will advice u choose oau 4 one of d two entry mode it depends on d 1 u desire most. 1st 4 ur DE upper credit and knowing a credible & notable person is d only way into IFE [if u are sure d result will be ready by august it is possible & d good news in dat OAU favors fed polys and ur skol is 1 of them]. A friend of mine had problem wit DE because d result was late. 4 utme mode dis is d easiest and most challenging entry into ife
1. smash 270+ in utme which i believe u have done.
2. score like 260+ in putme
Do dis i'm sure u wont have to lobby 4 admission b4 dey admit u but remember only 1st choice is admitted. D problem wit OAU is d post UTME exam d tin tough oh make i no lie so start reading.

i hav nt shown up here 4 a couple of months coz i went to prepare 4 my utme. Though i aimed @ scoring 290+, but unfortunately i scored 241. 1st choice, accountancy, combined result, catchment area(ogun state) what are my chances? What @least do i have to score in my post utme?
