For those abroad or in nigeria, what are you cooking for christmas eve/day? Any favourite dish on that day? Do you invite people and have a formal meal at home or do you just cook a lot for whoever shows up? If you have recipes pls, put them here too, I'm short of ideas for this christmas |

For those in Naija, rice is very likely going to be on the list. Nostalgia! I dunno yet, but one thing is sure; fried rice and lasagne are on the list. |

I don't think there's no family in Nigeria that does not cook Rice and stew on christmas day even if they cook other dishes. Rice and stew is the national anthem of Nigerian Christmas. |

Re: What Are you cooking this chrismas? by MissIfe(f): 8:09pm On Dec 03, 2011 |
I was also thinking jollof rice with fried chicken, I'd love to add moin moin too, but as ronke i will be working the 24th so not much time to cook. If i have no time for moin moin I'll do some meat pies instead. I'm still hesitating about the turkey, never cooked one in my life and I'm not sure I will be bold enough to try it on christmas day, Or maybe I'll try but won't tell anyone Then probably some mashed potatoes and vegetables on the side, beer, Still looking for new ideas though! |
