Usually really tough as you would imagine, they are overwhelmed with 1st choice applicants. Maybe if you had highest score in JAMB! |

Had admission in 2 universities to study this medicine- first and second choice. That was 3yrs back. Now the tide is changing. Nigerian Medical and Dental Council and NUC has recently been applying pressures on Universities to reduce the number of students admitted in the course. We were 77 that had admission in my set. This year only 40 was admitted. You see Second choice bet is losing its potency real fast. I'd advice that you put all your enthusiasm in getting your first choice. And make a first choice that'd give you higher chances of being admitted and make sure the school is accredited for medicine. Any school accredited for medicine in Nigeria has successfully satisfied the minimum requirements to make you a doctor worthy to stand the tide of medical practice anywhere in the world. |

Vic-jay:medicine after death. Sha, its not over yet. You have to enquire from a jamb office nearest to you on a CHANGE OF COURSE card. It does the magic. You might spend an extra 3k tho' 1 Like |

I won't advice anyone to make medicine second choice course because even some first choice candidates dont gain admission. That's what i faced at oau last yr. For the bro who filled uniben and found out they lost accreditation, i believe we are in the same shoes. Cos that's what happened to me but i plan to change it after the jamb examinations. My second choice university, uniport included. So, whatever the case is, keep praying, thanks. Any one who wants to study medicine in ui dis yr? |

if you are very sure of yourself, IBADAN, OAU and UNILAG are the right places to study medicine and you will never have to worry about accreditation issues. they have very transparent admission process unlike in ILORIN where even very high scores in the exams will not guarantee you a place. |
