Hello everyone, what can you say about the latest (January 2012) ranking of higher institutions in the world by webometric. Webometric picked only 12000 higher institutions in the world but only 19 institutions in Nigeria were among the list. The first 10 higher institutions in Nigeria are: 1. UNIBEN 2. UI 3. UNAAB 4. Another baseless ranking by an international body that never visited Nigeria to ascertain what is on ground in the universities but go on to rank institutions using web pages. |

Webometric has good record in ranking. In fact the VC of my school believes in their ranking. They've got a strong software which they use to rake in data of institutions websites. Their ranking is based on institutions web content. |
