Blessedgurl: Generally, the minimum amount should be N100,000 though there has been feedbacks from members that some banks stated higher amounts such as N500,000, N1m, etc. You need to find out from your bank regarding their position on this. Currently, I use Stanbic IBTC and Union Bank for my Tbill transactions. So far, there has not been any major issue. Some members here too have spoken well about other banks. The key thing is to familiarize yourself with the basics as it has been proven over time that most branch-based staff have limited knowledge of this "market". Knowledge is power. This thread is more than enough to equip you. 2 Likes |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by feelamong(m): 8:39am On Feb 16, 2017 |
hancock: sorry bro...also lost my bid at 18.5% seems the rates are now going down gradually... na to quickly rush to the secondary market cos in two weeks time we might see even further decrease |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by slimtriggaman: 8:43am On Feb 16, 2017 |
Well i doubt, with recent inflation figure at 18.72 and the amount needed to be generated by next auction. I believe the rates would be fairly same or edge up a bit on next auction 02/03/07. I lost my 182 days bid by .5% but next fortnight would be successful feelamong: |

How does a person know if he succeeded in yesterday's action when he did not specify a rate to the bank?. Do the person have to call his/her account officer or wait to see if there is a debit alert on the account. |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by unite4real: 10:51am On Feb 16, 2017 |
zamirikpo: LOL. Rates will not continue to be like this. it may go higher or lower according to the economic indices. For me this is happy times because i remembered i have bought for 364 days at 9% before. If you are an old guy in this league, you will understand that this is the best time to play this game. 3 Likes |
