The United States government has once again put Nigeria on top of its money laundering, financial crimes and corruption list based on the weak enforcement, poor Judiciary and political interference of the country.

According to the 2012 International Narcotics Control Strategy Report released by the United States Department, Nigeria was placed in the high risk category and tagged under countries/Jurisdiction of Primary concern.

According to the report, out of 639 prosecutions between October 1, 2010 to September 2011, only 73 convictions were recorded.

“Weak law enforcement and justice sector issues have hindered the progress of and thwarted many prosecutions and investigations. Nigeria remains a major drug trans-shipment point and a significant centre for criminal financial activity.

“Individuals, criminals and terrorist organisations take advantage of the country’s location, porous borders, weak laws, corruption, lack of enforcement, and poor socio-economic conditions to launder the proceeds of crime.

The proceeds of illicit drugs in Nigeria derive largely from foreign criminal activity rather than domestic activities” The report noted.

Colombians bring drugs in tons and the stupid Nigerians who spoil the name of the country takes kilos and they are been classified as drug nation. Those dealing on drugs should stop spoiling the name of this country. What one Colombian will bring into USA, 10,000 Nigerians will carry half of what an individual from these these nations import to America.

Sometimes I hate the US for their hypocrisy and thirst to always scorn Nigeria. This is the same despicable US that will not leave Iran & Iraq alone and saw Hussein dead, that killed Gadhaffi in the name of peace-keeping,whereas their interest is to access her(Libya's) oil reserves, folded their arms after Hope 93 elections in Nigeria when the late Chief MKO Abiola was uninaugurated despite his great "relationship" with the US,I remember the late yoruba businessman was given the golden key to Washington DC not to mention his ever-reliant business acumen and philanthropy. The US particularly were against the liberation or emancipation of Nigeria in 1993 to be critically honest. Now after Ghana's oil discovery US wants an alliance and claims Ghana to be even better than Nigeria. And this oil-thirsty US don't return the loot back to the nigerian government. In terms of politicking, the US is the most disdainful country believe me!
