I had dis liitle arguments wit my friends, if it is proper to open a Gift in de present of the person dat give it to u, If Yes or No, your reasons. Ur opinion really matters.

Oh no, don't! I have been in awkward situations where I didn't like the gift and it upset the giver because it's hard for me to hide disappointment when do not like something.

Simple courtesy demands you show appreciation for a gift received (whether you like it or not)

So it's always a good idea to open the gift there and then - in the presence of the giver.

That way you get to show your appreciation.

Obviously, you thank the person to show your appreciation but wait until you get home or away from the person to open the gift as humans it can be very hard to hide disappointment. If you already what it is then you can.
