Lupe’s condition worsens. Sebastian finds out, through Jessica that Cat is marrying Carmelo 12-7

     Carmelo tells Lupe that Sebastian and Martina died in a car accident on their way back from Mexico City.

     Gustavo tries to stop the wedding but Sebastian says there is no use let it happen. after a long argument, Gustavo and Carmelo walk out of the room and talk, Carmelo tells Gustavo that he sees that he already knows why Cata is marring him, and that if he tries to stop the wedding, Cata will suffer the consequences, he may turn into an abusive husband. Cata tells Gustavo the wedding must go on is for the best.

     Patricia comes to visit Sylvia, who is now wearing a long hair reddish wig, she tells her that she is leaving for England and wanted to say good bye and part friends with her.

     After the wedding ceremony is over, Carmelo kisses Catalina. Sebastian asks for the hacienda’s paper but Carmelo insists that he and Martina stay for the toast for their happiness.

     Chucho tells Ramiro to show Alvaro Lupe ‘s picture to make sure it was Lupe in Carmelo’s apartment.

     Lupe is walking around in Carmelo’s apartment, the nurse sees him and treats him really bad and tells him he is not going anywhere without her.

     At the PH, Alicia tells Jessica and Emilia off about bugging Catalina.

     Sebastian asks for the ranch’s papers again and Carmelo says not until they cut the cake. When him and Cata are going to cut the cake, Cata pulls her hand and breaks the ornament on top of the cake, Sebastian tells them what a shame the ornament broke, maybe it means their marriage will break too.

     Petra confesses to Josefa & Rufi and, the priest that she didn’t switch the babies.

     Josefa tells Antonieta Petra didn’t switch the babies.

     Finally Carmelo will give the ranch papers to Sebas, but he says he would rather have Cata do it, Cata hands over the papers to Sebas saying I give you these papers with all my love…. He interrupts her and says to give them to Martina.

     Antonieta can’t believe Petra didn’t switch babies. The priest arrives and asks Antonieta if she is the one that told Lupe that Petra switched babies so he would change his will. She says no.

     Jessica decided that her and Sebas are going to Quatesquitengo to the hotel Chucho owns there.

     Carmelo arrives at the penthouse. Lupe demands to see Martina and Sebas, Carmelo says he will not see them they are dead, and now he is in control and will do whatever he says. Lupe says he want to go.

Carmelo yells at him that he never wanted to recognize him as his son, Lupe says because he isn’t. Carmelo tells him about the baby switch.

The nurse tells Carmelo that if he wants her quiet he has to pay.

     Macario and Emilia are in bed. Macario tells Emilia he will have a lot of money soon, she tells him she knows why, he is keeping a secret for Carmelo about Don Lupe.

     Carmelo is back at the PH, he tells them he is ready for the honeymoon, Adela is all excited about the cruise but Carmelo tells her that there has been a change of plans, they are going to Quatenquitengo.

     Cata is getting ready for bed and Carmelo says they will sleep on the same bed. She says she will get the pajamas she got for her honeymoon.

     At Chucho’s house, Sebastian and Jessica are getting ready to go to Quitenquitengo. Jessica kisses Sebas and he corresponds.

     Carmelo comes into the bedroom and Cata is all covered up. She tells him he will never touch her, she will only be Sebas for ever, he says that although he promised not to touch her he may not keep that promise.

At that she jumps out of bed saying ”I had the feeling you may try that” so from now on I will sleep like this every night, no sexy nightgowns for you” and she is wearing a one piece neck to toe PJ and cream all over her face LOL,

     to be continued,  Carmelo tells Catalina to remove the pajamas, she looks ridiculous. She can’t play with him like this. He married a refined woman and he’ll fight till she’s succumbed to his charms (!). Adela tells Cat she’s crazy to go around like that. Luisa hates to see Cat so depressed. Catalina realizes that Carmelo’s not going along with their agreement. He’ll have to kill her before she sleeps with him. Luisa says she’ll invite Boom to come with them to cheer Cat up.

     Sebastian apologies to Jessica for leading her on. He won’t take advantage of her like that again. He says he’ll never love anyone other than Catalina.

     Emilia is in bed with Macario and wants him to stay over but he says he can’t. She tries to find out if Lupe is still alive, but he won’t answer her. She knows something’s up. She’s going to find out and Sebastian will be grateful to her for the information.

     Lupe gets up but the nurse catches him. She tells him they’ve hired two guards to keep him in his room. Lupe can’t believe Carmelo would do this to him. Macario comes home but refuses to tell him anything. Lupe offers to pay him handsomely, but Macario tells him Carmelo has all his money now.

     Ramiro comes over to say goodbye. Seb wants him to come along with them, but he says no, he’s got something to do for him. Chucho stops him before he spills the beans. He warns Ramiro not to say anything to Seb before they know whether the man was Lupe.

     Macario is complaining to Carmelo about Lupe. He says he’s coming back early from his honeymoon. He’s decided not to go on the cruise after all. He’s going where Sebastian is. Sebastian can’t stop thinking about Catalina.

     Adela is nagging Carmelo about the cruise but he hands her a check to buy some clothes and tells her to pick out a house for them all to live in in Las Lomas. That shuts her up and makes her happy. Gus walks in and is depressed over the state of affairs. Cat tells her father she loves him. He’s the best father in the world.

     Sebastian is still angry. He was thinking they might reconcile and she marries Carmelo!! How long will it take for him to forget? An eternity?

In town everyone will laugh at him because Carmelo tooks his woman. Jess says on the contrary, everyone will laugh at Carmelo and Catalina,

     Adela is talking up Luisa to Alberto from Boom. He tells Luisa he only likes her as a friend. She says she feels the same way. She’s too young.

     Eduardo is fuming over Catalina marrying Carmelo. Alicia and Luis tell him it’s no use to worry about Cat. She’s in love with Seb. He should try to do something about Sylvia before she does something foolish with Rico.

     Jessica leaves the resort. Carmelo pulls up. Cat berates Carmelo for coming there when he knew Seb would be there. Seb says they’re just rubbing his face in it. He claims it doesn’t bother him. Carmelo says he can’t stand to see them together. Seb says to prove it, he’ll stay.

     Adela is showing off her purchases to Gus. He doesn’t want to know anything about them. He refuses any gift purchased with Carmelo’s money.

     Catalina is telling Carmelo off. She says she loves Seb and nothing will change that. Carmelo says she’s still got to act like she’s in love with him in front of everyone. Frankie of Boom is overhearing the conversation.

     Antonieta has the doctor in to see Josefa. She refuses to go to a cardiac clinic. Ant says she’ can’t tell anyone that Petra never switched babies. She prefers Carmelo have the money. She hates Carmelo, she knows he’s not her real son. Petra said he lived in another city. Josefa asks what if Petra lied and Seb is her real son?

     Ramiro asks Petra to swear that she never switche the babies and she does.

     Luisa and Martina argue. Boom breaks them up. They take the girls for a ride on a boat.

     Kiki’s comes to visit Adela. She’s surprised she’s not on the cruise like she claimed. Adela tells her that Boom went with Luisa and Cat on the honeymoon. Kiki’s doesn’t believe that she knows Boom.

     Catalina and Carmleo go to their room. She says she’s going to stay with Luisa. He says it’s okay as long as no one sees her going in.

     Lupe meets the new bodyguards. He says they’re crazy if they think they are going to keep him shut away. He goes to the phone but the nurse stops him. Emilia comes over and notices the bodyguards outside. Why are they there? Macario tries to say they’re protecting Carmelo’s money. Emilia doesn’t fall for it.

     Martina, Luisa and Sebastian get into an argument. He says Cat is a goldigger. She says Cat is good.

     Ramiro goes to see Chucho with the picture. Jessica arrives and her grandfather asks her to leave. He doesn’t trust her.

     Cat is sitting out on the patio and orders mineral water. Seb comes over and says to change the order to champagne. She starts to tell him why she married Carmelo but he comes along and stops her.

     Ramiro confirms that it was Lupe who was at Carmelo’s.

A new character appeared, he is the youngest son of the peones that worked at Antonieta’s ranch and who supposedly have her son. Petra confesses this to Ant. And that she never switched babies.

     Antonieta goes to the peones house and tells them that the guy (forgot his name) has to go work at her ranch as a capataz, they have treated him better than their own kids, I got the impression that perhaps so they could get some cash when the truth is discovered. Actually since there was no baby switch he is their real son. The other baby was Flora’s and is Carmelo.

     Sebastian and Catalina meet up in church and the priest asks Cata to tell Sebas the truth, but, he doesn’t want to hear it, he just begs Cata for her and Carmelo to leave town. Carmelo refuses but Cata threatens to become Sebas lover if they don’t so he agrees to go.

     Emilia tries to get Jessica jealous by asking Sebas for a friendly kiss after he tells her he will never fall in love with her but Jessica has a chance with him. When he is about to kiss her on the cheek she grabs him and kisses him on the mouth!

     Lupe demands that Carmelo let him go Carmelo says he never will, and asks him why he doesn’t love him and why he doesn’t acknowledge he is his son.

     Emilia tells Cata that Carmelo may have to return the entire inheritance. Cata confronts Carmelo as to why Emilia said that, he responds because she is jealous and envious.

     Carmelo tells Macario that Emilia suspects Lupe is alive. Macario says that maybe she was just bluffing to see what she could find out. Carmelo agrees and says that if she knows and says something she will be sorry!!!.

     Cata informs Adela about Carmelo loosing the inheritance and Adela nearly has a heart attack, when Carmelo arrives and the whole family confronts him…. That’s all I remember.

Adela, Cat & luisa asks Carm if there's a problem with his inheritance - Carm tells them that he is the sole heir & that there are no problems with the will, & to not pay attention wo what Emilia says. Adela is thrilled. She shows him the house in Las Lomas she is interested in, he says they have to wait.

     Antonio tells Seb & Mar that he is the new capataz. They show him how to het to Antonietta's house, & Seb warns him about the señorita.

     Antonietta tells Josefa to not talk too much to Antonio. He shows up & tells her his room in this house. He doesn't agree; & he tells her he will stay in the capataz house. He tells her that he's heard strange things about this ranch since he was small & will try to find out what they were.

     At the bar many guys are gossipping about Antonietta having an affair with Antonio; that that's why she let Pascual leave,  Petra & Rufi listen to the gossip & realize it's Antonio & that Antonietta thinks that he's her son.

     Carm wants Cat to go with her to buy a car. Cat doesn't want one. I'll give you a chofer! Cat doesn't care, but goes with Carm. Carm gives Adela $$ to go shopping,  Luisa asks Cat how long she will put up with Carm if she already is sick of him,  Carm calls Macario, Mac is mad, Carm tells him he has a surprise for him.

     Jesica overhears don Chucho, Seb, & Mar talk about Lupe maybe being alive. Seb fills her in on their plans to go to DF, she volunteers her services as a lawyer.

     Luisa tells Cat she has to go get some newspaper from the room upstairs. They explain to Carm that it's a maid's room with access on the roof that is very isolated & hasn't been used in a long time. Carm's light bulb shines as he confirms that it's an isolated room that will make a perfect hiding place for Lupe.

     Panchito meets Antonio; realizes he's Margarito's son. They become friends & Antonio tells him he's Antonietta's capataz.

     Josefa asks Antonietta if she is proud of Antonio - Antonietta accepts that he is distinguished, but she's not proud, that he is just a capataz & that she has no special interest in him.

     Kikis tells the other women that one of her friend's daughters couldn't get tickets to the Boom concert. Adela reminds her that Luisa is frineds with the boom kids; Kikis asks her what happened with the benefit concert she volunteered to give. Adela says she will get Boom to help them out & she leaves to go see her house in Las Lomas. The woman are sure Adela is just lying like always.

     The boom kids are back in DF. One of them decides to call Luisa to ask her about Martina (I don't know their names.)

     Seb, Ramiro, Mar, & Jes stand behind some trees to stakeout the apartment building. Carm arrives in the new sports car for Macario. He goes to get Mac, Cat wats to go with him, but Carm tells her to stay to watch the car. ,  Seb tells the others that it was weird how Carm didn't want to let Cat go upstairs with him. ,  Lupe is looking at a picture of Seb & Martina in his room. Carm tells Mac he is home. The nurse tells Lupe to lay down. Mac is mad at Carm, so Carm tells him about his surprise - Mac is thrilled the car is for him.

     Emilia tells Antonieta that the whole town is gossipiing about her about Antonio,

     Mac comes to see the car,  Seb gives Ram the spare keys so that he & Martina can try to sneak in. Jes & Seb go to see Carm to distract them so that Mar & Ram can sneak in. Carm is not happy to see them, Carm kisses Cat; Seb & Jes tell them it's a coincidence. Cat tells Seb that they had a stay away from each other pact. Carm thinks she might have slpet with Seb again, she says she didn't, he threatens her again; Mac tells them they should just leave. Carm threatens Seb. ,  Mar & Ramiro go to the apt & see the body guards. They try to fool them & ask for Carm & even show them that Carm gave them the key, but the guards don't let them in. The nurse comes out & Ram asks why Carm would need a nurse. The guards take the key away & throw them out.

     Adela hires a maid. She tells Luisa to convince Boom about the benefit concert. Gus tells Luisa that the Boom boys called.

     Sylvia asks Ric if he had paid the bills & ran the errands she asked him to. The lazy guy hasn't done anything except buy himself some clothes. She insists he go to the gym with her. She gives him a gift.

     Carm & Cat enter the PH screaming at each other. He throws her to the sofa & threatens to kill her if he ever knows she's with Seb. Cat reminds him that she ran into Seb because he took them to that town, that it was Carm's fault for being so mean to Seb. He pushes her again and she falls on the ottoman. Gus comes in to defend Cat. Carm keeps on screaming & tells Cat that she should be home when he comes back. He sees the maid & tells her to clean the room upstairs because he will need it today.

     Ram & Mar tell Seb about the bodyguards & the nurse. Seb & Ram are more sure that Carm has Lupe up there. Jes tells them to calm down & to not go to the police right now. Seb decides to go confront Carm face to face. Seb tells Jes to take Mar to her friend's apt.

     Carm goes to the apt, Mac sees how angry he is & how difficult Cat turned out. The nurse tells them that Lupe's suitcases are ready. Carm tells Mac he will take him to the room upstairs in the PH.

     Cat, Luisa & the maid go upstairs to clean up the empty room. it's dirty & full of junk. They wonder why Carm would want to use this room.

     The guards take the suitcases downstairs. Mac goes with them. The nurse wants gives Lupe a sedative as the door bell rings - it's SEb & ram, he tries to hold the door back as Seb screams for Lupe. The nurse injects him & the sedative goes into effect immidiately.

Sebastian and Ramiro arrive at Carmelo's apartment, they tell him they suspect he has Lupe and he denies it, Ramiro tells him to let them in the apt was Sebas mom's, and he tells Carmelo Petra never switched babies.(it took them forever to finally break in ) the nurse hides Lupe after giving him a sedative. So they don't find him. Later on they move him to the empty room in the PH.

     Antonio, goes to see Antonietta and asks whats going on, he demands to know the truth. She says she has nothing to hide and that his parents owe her too much for him to leave in a month.

     Emilia goes to see Antonietta and she gives her the key to the car, she is going to look for Sebastian to tell her about Lupe. When she is about to leave Macario arrives in a red corvette, they ask him where her got the car they say from his friend Carmelo.

     Jessica comes to the PH looking for Carmelo and asks Cata to tell him to call her and gives her a card, Cata questions what Jessica has to do with Carmelo.

     Carmelo calls the number on the card and Martina answers the phone, she is surprised to hear Carmelo's voice asking for Jessica, Jessica gets nervous, because Sebastian is there and makes an appointment to see Carmelo at his apartment.

Jessica tells Carmelo that Sebastian thinks that Lupe is alive, Carmelo tells her he doesn't care what he thinks, Jessica tells him that if Lupe is still alive he says no. Jessica tells him that she will not be his acomplis in hiding or the murder of Lupe, that her grandpa suspects her about the will and everything may be discovered soon. Carmelo says if he goes down so does she, and worse Sebastian will know that she is the one that betrayed him.

     Sebastian decides that he is going to forget Cata and starts thinking how good Jessica has been to him, in comes Jessica and he tells her how he is feeling, they kiss. Jessica tries to convince Sebas to leave the city to completely forget about Cata.

     Catalina goes up to the storeroom in search of her bracelet. Carmelo gets angry with her and threatens her and anyone else who go up there. He orders the bodyguard never to leave the door unattended. Don Lupe hears Catalina’s protests and realizes she’s not aware that he’s being held prisoner. The nurse finds the bracelet and pockets it.

     Macario is showing off his new Corvette to Emilia. She goes off with him with the double purpose of finding out whether Lupe is alive. They go swimming and back to Macario’s house. She tells him he should get another house. His friend Carmelo should buy it for it. Macario warns Emilia never to mention that Lupe may still be alive. She agrees to drop it. He asks her to marry him, but she laughs him off.

     Carmelo meets with Jessica. She tells him that Sebastian wants her to investigate Lupe’s whereabouts with him. He confesses to her that Lupe is still alive. If he continues to give him problems he might be forced to murder him. Jessica says she doesn’t want to have anything to do with that. Carmelo reminds her that she’s already an accomplice since she knows the truth. If he goes to jail—so does she.

     Sebastian is looking for Ramiro because he wants to know if he checked out Macario’s place. Ramiro is filling in Antonio on Dona Antonieta. He tells him that everyone in town thinks he’s her boy toy. Seb calls him to ask whether he’s found out anything and to tell him he’s got to be back for a benefit concert the next night.

     Ramiro goes out to Macario’s house and finds Macario and Emilia in the act. He gets a good laugh out of the situation. He goes in and searches for Lupe and doesn’t find him. He tells Emilia it’s a good thing she’s got someone else because now Sebastian is with Jessica and trying to forget Catalina. Emilia get’s furious about this and says she’s not letting her get him.

     Luis shows Lalo the ring he bought for Allicia. Silvia walks by and assumes it’s a ring he’s bought for Catalina. Once again she makes a scene.

     Antonio confronts Antonieta about the fact that everyone thinks he’s her lover. She gets angry and slaps him. She tells him she’s his mother.

     Antonio goes to see the priest about his background. He meets Petra who says she switched him for the other baby. He’s very angry and sad to be Antonieta’s son. He goes to see his mother who confirms the truth to him.

     Ramiro calls Seb and tells him he couldn’t find Lupe. Seb decides to to go to see Catalina to ask for her help, and to see her again. She’s alone in the PH. He tells her he thinks Lupe is being held prisoner by Carmelo and would she tell him if she gets any information. She agrees but urges him to leave before Carmelo comes. He sees she’s frightened by Carmelo and says that’s the price she’s got to pay for the money he’s got. On his way out he asks her if she was serious about becoming his lover. He kisses her and then apologizes for trying to break up her marriage.

     Carmelo’s on his way back to the PH when the guard tells him that Lupe is asking for him. He asks the guard to get something out of his car. As the guard is waiting for the elevator he sees Seb leave the PH. When Carmelo returns to the apartment, he asks Catalina what she was doing, she says she was alone the whole time.

     Adela is exicted about her benefit concert and makes everyone sit down to watch her on TV. It turns out she has a very small appearance and everyone laughs about it. Catalina tells her father what Sebastian’s suspicions are. She thinks that might be what’s in the attic.

     The nurse tells Lupe she’ll get him a picture of his children if he promises to be obedient.

     Jessica returns from seeing Carmelo and is shaken. She says that he frightens her. She says she’s convinced that Lupe is dead.

     Carmelo goes upstairs to check on Lupe and the guard tells him that Sebastian came by today when Catalina was alone.

     Tomorrow: Jessica tells her friend that she’s really in deep and doesn’t want to know anything about Carmelo. Carmelo goes to see Sebastian and beats him. He’s looking for Catalina.

Gustavo makes Catalina promise that if he doesn’t make it, she’ll divorce Carmelo and tell Sebastian the truth. She agrees.

     Adela finds out that the house she had picked out was taken since she never put a deposit down. Carmelo tells her to find one right away. He wants to get out of there because he’s worried Cat and Seb will continue to see each other behind his back.

     Seb, Ramiro and Martina head back to the apartment to question Jessica. They find her gone as well as her things. Seb calls Don Chucho who tells them she’s just come in. Seb says he’s on his way over. Chucho sees Jessica is upset and questions her about it. He wants to know if she had something to do with Lupe’s will. She admits she helped Carmelo.

     Gustavo is not dead. He’s stable and will recover. He got a terrible beating. Cat’s sure it was Carmelo. She goes to the PH to tell him off. Alicia’s afraid of what he’ll do and so is Gus.

     Emilia goes to see Macario She says she wants to make up, but in reality she wants to check out the apartment for signs of Lupe.

     Lupe is staggering around and passes out.

     Adela is called real estate agents when Catalina walks in and tells her Carmelo had Gus beaten up. Adela questions Carmelo who admits he did it. He tells them maybe they’ll obey him from now on.

     Gus is bleeding and Luisa runs out into the hallway just as Lupe is brought in. She’s upset so much attention is given to him, but doesn’t recognize him.

     Cat calls Seb to change the place of their meeting. She wants to make it in the coffee shop across from the hospital. Caremlo overhears her but she says she’s talking to Alicia.

     Macario tells Emilia that Lupe is alive. To prove he loves her, he’ll take her to him.

     Adela is upset at the news about Gus, but still says no one should provoke Carmelo They should cooperate.

     Chucho asks Jessica why she did it. She admits she helped Carmelo alter the will and that she knows he’s hiding Lupe. Seb and co. walk in. He can’t believe it. She says she never saw Lupe. She’s only known it for a couple of days. Chucho smacks her across the face.

     Gus says Adela is obsessed by money. It’s more important than her family. Luisa wants to accuse Carmelo to the police and so does Cat. Adela is against it. Cat says they’ll keep quiet until they know more about Lupe’s whereabouts. She also announces that she’s definitely pregnant. Adela feigns a faint. Gus says he’s very happy she’s pregnant by the man she loves but thinks she should tell Sebastian the baby is his and what she did for him by marrying Carmelo.The doctor comes in and mentions the poor man they found out on the street. He’s in really bad shape with low blood pressure.

     Carmelo goes to see Macario and overhears the conversation with Emilia. Macario says they should run away together. She says Seb is on the verge of discovering where Lupe is anyway. Macario says she’s an accomplice. Everyone knows how Seb rejected her and will believe she was in cahoots with Carmelo. He’ll get Antonietta to agree.

     Antonieta wants to go to the PH. Antonio wants to know how Lupe ever had anything to do with her since they hate each other so much. She says it wasn’t always that way. Once she was an attractive woman. Antonio says she’s a bitter woman, one who would give away her own child without remorse. Antonieta says you never know what is in a person’s heart.

     Carmelo drives Adela home. She’s still buttering him up. He needs n allay now that Macario is untrustworthy. He gives her loads of money and says he wants her to keep the family in line. Especially Cat. He doesn’t want her to see Seb behind h is back. She agrees. When he leaves Luisa asks her what all the money is for. Adela says there’s enough there to get rid of Catalina’s baby.

     Chucho tells them they can contact the authorities and Carmelo and Jessica will be arrested for forging a will. Ramiro asks if they find Lupe won’t the will be null anyway? He says yes. They keep it quiet for now.

     Alicia tells Luis about Gus. She sees Rico and tells him also. He’s taken aback.

     Carmelo is worried that Seb will find Lupe. Now Macario is a traitor. His days are numbered. He calls Macario and says he’s on his way over. Macario tells Emilia she better make up her mind.

     Antonieta comes to the PH. Adela takes Antonio for her lover.

     Cat meets Sebastian at the coffee shop. She says she thinks they’re holding Lupe upstairs in the storage room. She also says she needs to tell him something…

     Tomorrow: She tells Sebastian he’s the father of the baby. Sebastian asks what was the agreement she had with Carmelo that Alicia talked about and say says that she married him so he would return the hacienda to Seb. They’re crying together and he says he doesn’t understand why so many terrible things have happened to them. Carmelo is knocking on the door and Seb and Cat are asleep on the floor.

I only watched bits & pieces of the novela on Firday - here's what I remember:

     Macario now knows that Carmelo wanted to kill him since he blew up the car thinking he was going to drive it, but killed Emilia instead. He goes to the apt to confront Carm; he draws a gun at him & asks for half the inheritance. Carm tells him about Sebastian already knowing the will is false. Carm draws his gun at Mac, but then they both decide to drop their weapons & talk. Neither of them trust one another so they decide to open a joint back account in which neither can draw money out without the other's signature. They hire a private eye to look for Don Lupe.

     The town police chief tells his people to look for Mac & Carm for Emilia's death. When either of them come back to town, they will be arrested. ,  Jessica tells Seb & the gang that she believes Emilia was murdered by Carm, since he also has threatened to kill her. SHe is freaking out. ,  Seb goes back to the pueblo to start a massive search for his dad because Emilia had said Don Lupe was somewhere in the area. He gets many of the employees to help him out, but they don't find anything.

     The doctor lets Gustavo leave the hospital. As they start to walk him out, Catalina tells them she will go leave a basket of fruit to the ill, lonely man in the onther room. When she goes in, she sees it's Don Lupe!

Catalina finds don Lupe. He tells her that Carmelo had him kidnapped, he wants to see Sebastian and Martina, he fears he may die soon. Catalina promises him that he will see them.

     Carmelo is givinfg instruccions tot he private investigator about finding Lupe.

He tells Macario that Catalina is going to do as he says or he will make the child suffer, Macxario asks him if he would kill a child, Carmelo says, if I'm willing to kill my father imagine what I would do to Sebastian's son.

     Cata, Luisa, Alicia and Luis are taking Gustavo home, they tell the bodyguar there is no room for him in the car and they leave him behind, when Carmelo finds out he is really po and swear that he will kill Cata's baby. At the ranch everyone is still looking for Lupe.

     Cata asks Luis to stop the car, she wants to call Sebas, she tries the apartment and he is not there, she decides to try the ranch but now the phone is occupied.

In the mean time Gus, and Luisa arrive at the PH when Catalina doesn't arrive Carmelo has a hissy fit and swars to kill her, he leaves to look for her.

     Finally, Cata getsa hold of Sebastian and tells him she found don Lupe, he is at the red cross, he and Martina must come soon. Cata callos home and Luisa tells her that Carmelo went back to the hospital to look for her and he is mad. Cata and Alicia run back tothe hospital. They go in through the back door, Cata decides to go see don Lupe. As she goes in the room Carmelo sees her, Alicia tells him that the doctor will examine her, she starts talking very loud and Cata hears her talk to Carmelo, before Carmelo goes into Lupe's room Catalina comes out and tells her the doctor told her to leave because of him, he is disturbing the other patients.

     She goes to the doctor;s office in the hospital and asks him to please leave her overnite, the dr. realizes that she is afraid what Carmelo can do to her and follows along. He tells Carmelo neither him or his body guards can stay,

Sebastian tells everyone at the ranch that he and Cata reconcile and that she is pregnant, Antonietta seems happy about the news and says that she will be the one that raises Lupe's grandson. He tells Ramiro they found Lupe but to keep it quiet, only a few people know about Lupe's whereabout. They leave for the city. Sebas and Martina arrive at the hospital they embrace their dad.

     They give a detailed summary of why Emilia was such a bitter person, her parents divorced and neither of her step parents liked her and they mistreated her.

     Kiki comes to the penthouse and asks what happenned to Gus, Adela says somebody mugged him, he telss her to tell the truth and tells Kiki it was Carmelo who sent someone to beat him, and that he wants Kiki's husband to help Cata divorce Carmelo.

     Antonio ask Panchito about his past, Panchito tells him that only Petra, Rufi and Josefa can answer his questions.

     The nurse calls the PH again and Carmelo answers, she says she is looking for Ctalina because Lupe Mendoza wants totalk to her. Carmelo is shocked!!!!!!!to be continued,

The nurse tells Carmelo that Lupe is in the hospital. Carmelo realized that Cat knows he’s there, that’s why she made up the illness to remain hospitalized.

     Lupe tells his children the whole story of the kidnapping. He says he loves them. They are the most important thing in his life. He tells Sebastian he was wrong about Catalina and asks for his forgiveness. Sebastian says he read his mother’s letter and he is Lupe’s son. Lupe says he never doubted it. Lupe asks for forgiveness for believing in Carmelo. He knows he’ll never get back to the hacienda. He asks for Ramiro

     Catalina is worried about Carmelo returning and harming her. Ramiro tells her the police are out looking for him for the murder of Emilia. He gets called in to see Lupe.

     Cat tells Seb she is there to support him. After all he was so wonderful when they thought her mother was on her death bed. He says that was the best thing he ever did, marry her and make her his wife.

     Lupe tells Ramiro he’s happy he’s there to take care of Martina especially in the future when she has some hard decisions to make. Ramiro doesn’t quite know what he’s talking about but says Lupe was always like a father to him

     Carmelo comes in the hospital and sees Seb and Cat. He overhears them say that they’re getting the police to watch the hospital/

     The hacienda is waiting for word on Lupe. Father Demetrio is going to say a rosary.

     Jessica is crying. She went to the police and made a statement about what she did. She asks Chucho for forgiveness. She says she will change. Fa. Demetrio calls and tells them Lupe is alive.

     Lupe tells Seb and Cat that Seb was right about her. She loves him. She asks him for forgiveness because when she married Seb she wasn’t in love. They tell him he must be there for the birth of their baby, the bapitsm, birthdays, etc. He says he will be there in spirit. He’s sorry he won’t be there in person. Please tell the children about him and to love Alcatraz. He also asks that the baby be called Guadalupe. They agree.

     Carmelo goes back to the apartment and Macario is drinking. He tells him about Lupe’s whereabouts. He panics and wants to run. Carmelo tells him he’ll get caught. They’ve got to get into the hospital and kill Lupe. They’ll pay off the guards and rent a car.

     Gustavo says he’s suspicious of Carmelo. He’s going to lose everything. What you do in life comes back to you. This thought disturbs Adela who tosses and turns all night. She wants to know if Lupe is alive. Gus says he doesn’t know, but the dead do come back to haunt the living.

     Lupe wants a few moments alone with his children. He tells them to take care of each other and Alcatraz. He then dies. Martina gets hysterical and Ramiro and Catalina come in to the console them.

     Jessica and Don Chucho go to the hacienda. She wants to pray for Lupe. Ruffina says she should say her confession and pray. They say Cat found Lupe and his health has deteriorated.

     Nurse comes into the room and says there’s nothing more that can be done. A doctor must be called to pronounce him dead. Seb says Carmelo will pay for his father’s death.

     Macario and Carmelo are dressed like orderlies and overhear them say that Lupe has died. They steal the body so it can’t be autopsied.

     Josefa and Ruffina talk. R reminds her not to talk about Lupe. They discuss telling Ant that Carmelo is his son. At this point they’re worried about what he would do to her. They’re afraid Antonio is going to keep digging till he gets to the truth,  It’s logical that Joaquina came looking for her real son. Josefa starts to tell the truth about the paternity of Antonieta’s son when Antonieta interrupts them.

     Antonio is at the bar asking for more information. He needs to know the truth.

     Sebastian is at the security desk reporting the crime. He says his father was killed it was no accident. They will all make a statement. The police say they won’t be able to take the body until there’s been an autopsy.

     Antonio goes to see Ruffino to ask if he’s really Antonieta’s son. She refuses to say anything.

     Joaquina misses Antonio. She hopes he inherits the money and shares it with them.

     As Catalina is completing her statement the doctors appear and say they don’t know where the body is.

     The next morning at the hacienda everyone’s worried because they haven’t heard from Seb. The phone rings. It’s Ramiro. He tells them Lupe’s passed away and his body is missing.

     Seb is furious that his father’s body is missing. Catalina says Carmelo is behind this.

     Carmelo and Macario throw the body into the river (with the blanket and hospital robe).

     Tomorrow: Cat and Seb tell Adela they are remarrying.

     Carmelo comes to the hospital where he is told he’s got some legal problems.

     Police come to arrest Carmelo, he claims to be innocent and Adela comes to his defense too.

     Cata and Sebas are talking and she s a bit jealous of Jessica, Sebas tells her she has nothing to worry about.He only loves her.

     Antonio tells Joaquina and Margarito that their son is Carmelo and that he is a bad person. Joaquina tells Margarito she wants to meet her son.

     Carmelo goes with the policemen to the comisaria, his lawyer arrives and demands that they let him go.He has 3 charges kidnapping, falsifying testament and murder of Emilia.They tell him that someone from Morelos is coming to declare. No bail is granted.

     Sebas leaves Cata at Antonio's, Joaquina send Cata to get milk, when she returns she overhears her say she wants to find Carmelo and get money from him.

     Adela goes to the police and asks them if there is a reward for information that would help convict Carmelo.They say no so she says I could've help you but for free?? no way!!!

     Jessica arrives to testify.

     Cata discovers that Joaquina is going to try to get money from Carmelo and wants to run away.

     Antonieta tells Antonio that he has to claim his share of Lupe's enheritance.

     Joaquina asks Cata for Carmelo's address and phone, stupid Catalina gives it to her.

     Jessica tells the police everything she knows, Carmelo's lawyer overhears her testimony.Her testimony is not good is her word against Carmelo.

     Lawyer goes to see Carmelo and tells him he will be ok, he will have a careo with him and Jessica.

     Antonio tells off Antonieta and again asks for proof that he is Lupe's son.

     Joaquina is in a rush to leave, Cata leaves after her. Her other son sees her and Cata says she is going to the store.He won't let her leave.

     Joaquina tells her son that she is sure Carmelo will give them money if they tell him where Cata is.

     Joaquina goes to Antonieta's to ask he rif she is sure Carmelo is her son. Antonieta tells her, don't bother looking for him, he will laugh in your face when you tell him you are his mother.Joaquina say well a have my barganing chip, Antonieta asks her if is Cata, she is urpised Antonieta guessed.Antonietta tells het that they are the same both did something terrible to their son's.

     Alicia tells Sebas that Carmelo will claim paternity of the baby.

At the penthouse, police arrive with a letter for Cata regarding Carmelo's demand.

     Antonio is going to take Joaquina home because he doesn't like the idea of her sleeping in the servant quarter's.

     Cata is getting ready to scape. At that moment Joaquina arrives and asks where she is going, Cata says she is leaving, why don't we treat you right Cata tells her to stop faking it she knows what her plan is, Joaquina says that Cata won't be leaving the house until Carmelo comes to get her,

     Catalina tries to leave the Perez’ but Joaquina stops her. She says she knows what she’s doing—she’s going to tell Carmelo where she is. While she’s away, she tells Lucho to keep Cat locked up. Cat protests but Joaquina says a husband is supposed to control his wife. Mr. Perez says it’s a mistake. Carmelo is not a good person. Cat agrees and says he might be your son, but you don’t know him.

     Carmelo tells Sebastian he’s wasting his time. Seb says one day he’ll slip up and they’ll catch him. Carmelo threatens Jessica but covers it by saying he’s just going to take his business away from Chucho. He also says he’s going to take the baby away. Seb says he’ll never be able to do that because he can prove that he was legally married to Catalina at the time of conception.

     Gustavo wants to help Cat. She won’t appear in court. Adela’s sure Carmelo will get out of jail. Gus says some cops are not corrupt, but Adela’s sure a little money will take care of his problem. Gus says he admires Catalina even more for hiding out from Carmelo. Adela says she’s furious with Cat for hiding out and Ricardo who won’t share now that he’s got Silvia’s money. Luisa says she should go to a fortune teller to get the winning lottery numbers.

     Ruffi says its important to speak with Antonietta. She’s worried she’ll tell Carmelo where Catalina is. She says she must tell the truth about Carmelo and Antonieta.

     Antonieta tetlls Fa. Demetrio she’s going to DF tomrrow. She must fix the mix up. If Lupe’s body appears, though, would he please call her. She wants to say a goodbye to the only man she ever loved.

     Martina misses her father. She’s not interested in anyone or anything. Ramiro is starting to feel as though she’s not interested in him either. She admits her feelings are confused and right now she can’t think about him. What if they’re really not in love. Just because they were friends from childhood maybe they just had the idea of being in love. He says he left the group for her. Ruffi comes in and says Luisa called earlier to say she got a message from “Boom”. Ramiro storms out at the mention of the group.

     Martina calls Luisa who tells her that all the boys, especially Frankie asked for her. She’s not okay. Lie is not so easy. Seb has Cat and the baby now. She tells Ruffi she feels very alone.

     Seb says he must do something to take Carmelo to jail. They can’t put him in jail for falsifying the will because then Don Chucho and Jessica will have to go to jail also. Seb says he wants to make sure they’re still looking for his father’s body and the cops assure they are.

     Antonio tells Antonieta she better treat his mother with respect or he won’t stay with her. She was the one who loved him when Ant abandoned him.

     Joaquina threatens Cat. Cat asks her what Antonio will think of this. She says she doesn’t care, Carmelo is her son, not Antonio.

     Carmelo comes home. He tells them he’s free. He’ll never seee Cat again according to Gus. He threatens to kill them like he did Emilia and Lupe.

     Antonio insists on helping Josefa with the bags. Joaquina comes in and Antonieta is civil to her. She asks after Cat,  Lucho is keeping her locked up. Mr. Perez overhears and is embarrassed by the actions of his wife and son. He promises Cat to get her out of there.

     Antonieta arrives at the PH with Joaquina in tow. Carmelo is nasty and wants to know who the maid is. Ant tells him its his mother. He doesn’t believe it. He’s a Mendoza. Ant says no, she’s the woman who sold him for money.

     Alicia is trying on her wedding dress. Petra says she’s like the daughter she never had. Gus is teaching her to read and write. She doesn’t think she deserves to be treated so well after what she did. It was very bad. Alicia tells her to forget it.

     Carmelo is still fuming at the idea that Joaquina is his mother. H e says Petra assured him he was a Mendoza. How could they think he's a Perez?

     Lucho comes home to get his father. His father gets the keys and unlocks the door for Cat. She escapes only Lucho catches her and returns her. He and his father argue and he slaps him. He tells him he has an honest home and won’t have these shannigans going on. He let’s Cat out.

     Joaquina aks Antonio if he loves Antonieta. He says no, he never will. (He’s thinking she doesn’t treat me the same as before). She says she’s gong to get good money for saying where Cat is.

     Carmelo is still fuming he’s got to find Cat. He goes to ask Luisa but she refuses to tell him. Adela threatens her. She says if she knew she would tell (they believe it).

     Seb is back home telling everyone what happened with Carmelo. Ramiro accompanies him to get Catalina. On the way he tells him they broke up and he’s sorry he ever left his group. Seb says he can always remedy that. It’s never too late to change.

     Antonieta is laughing over Carmelo’s reaction to Joaquina. Josefa says she shouldn’t be so smug.

     Gus goes to Alicia’s. She tells him she heard about Carmelo getting out. He’s worried because Anto and Joaquina got to the PH wanting to talk. He asks Petra about Carmelo but she dissembles saying it’s such a mix up she doesn’t remember. She says Joaquina was always a liar and she’s probably after him for his money.

     Carmelo goes to get Cat at the ranch. Joaquina meets him at the elevator and says she knows where Cat is.

     Seb gets to the house and Mr. Perez tells him he freed Cat. She left because Joaquina was going to tell Carmelo where she was.

     Cat tries to tell Sebastian to go see Alicia as she tells him to leave the penthouse & leave her in peace with Carmelo. He leaves enraged. ,  Alicia & Company are worried that Seb has messed things up & their plan won't work. She calls the ph & talks to Gustavo & explains what happened. Adela & Gustavo fight & he tells her they will get a divorce; she doesn't seem too concerned & is just happy she will be getting her stupid house in Las Lomas,  Next morning- Seb goes to the police with don Chucho & Jesica to demand Car be detained for kidnapping but they don't do anything. He tells don Chucho to not bring Jesica with him ever because he doesn't want to see her again since she is the one that caused all this mess. ,  Lalo goes to visit Alicia & asks if he talked to Seb. She hasn't so they agree that he will go tell him the plan. He tells her that they called him to tell him Sylvia is not doing too good & that her liposuction went bad & she had a heart attack,  At the hospital, the doctor tells Ricardo that Sylvia is very ill & could die or remain in a vegetable state. He smiles because now he will be rich,  Martina goes to tell Ramiro that Seb is looking for him,  Lalo goes to see Seb at the apt; Seb is surprised to see him there & doesn't want to see him. He calls Alicia to confirm this,  Catalina gathers her documents in Luisa's purse,  Antonio goes to see Antonietta to ask why she gave Cat to Carm. She denies she did that & convinces him. She tells him that Joaquina is not the person he thought she was, & that he bought him for the money,  Joaquina goes to visit Carm & tells him that she will tell the whole world he is her son if he doesn't give her money. He starts screaming at her as Adela tells Carm to do something. Joaquina tells him that she has proof she is her money. Adela tells him to give her money so that she won't spread those rumors. He makes a check out to her for 100,000 pesos & she leaves. Carm tells Adela he wil kill Joaquina if she ever shows up to bother him again,  Antonia tells Antonietta that he wil never stop loving the Perez, no matter what. He tells her that he will not contest a penny from that Mendoza inheritance. He leaves & Josefa comes in so she tells her that she is really starting to love Antonio,  Alicia tells her group that they will try to get Carm's confidence. The escape wil happen when it's time to "carry the groom." They have to convince Carm to help them all carry Luis & then Cat can escape when he's not looking. Seb will wait for her on the street corner. Luis calls the hospital to see how Sylvia is,  The doc tells Ric that Sylvia has fallen into a coma. Ric asks how long she wil be this way; he doesn't know & can't say she wil get better. Only that her heart is very weak & she could die at any minute,  Lalo tells the gang that Sylvia fell in a coma. They leave to go get dressed. Ramiro calls Seb & he tells him the plan to get Cat. Ramiro agrees to go help him by waiting for him at the hotel. The artistic rep comes to see Ramiro about the singing proposal. He is ready to make him a singing sensation,  Adela tells Carm that she has an appointment with Merlin, her spiritual conselor. Cat & Luisa are ready to leave to the wedding when Alicia calls & Luisa picks up the phone & Adela overhears them talk about the plan. Adela grabs her purse & leaves the penthouse to meet up with Carm & the others, but they already left. ,  At the church, the bride arrives & Carm tells Catalina that when they get married in the church, she should get a nice dress,  Adela is waiting for a taxi to take her to the reception,  Carm tells Cat that he wants to have the church wedding before the baby is born. Alicia & Luis get married. At the reception, everyone's dancing & having a good time as Seb waits outside. Adela arrives & sees Seb there. The idiot leaves the door open as Adela hides behind there. Alicia throws the bouquet so the men start lifting Luis. Carm joins in & Cat escapes to the street. ,  Adela did something to the car without Seb seeing her. ,  Cat runs out & they start making out instead of getting their asses away from there ASAP,  Adela goes inside & asks Carmelo where his wife is,

Adela sufre una embolia y es llevada al hospital donde el doctor informa que puede quedar así por mucho tiempo o morir. Ramiro es lanzado como solista por primera vez en el programa Tempranito 2000, y todo el pueblo lo apoya. Antonio le dice a Antonieta que él no es su hijo. Antonieta está desesperada por saber quién es su verdadero hijo. Se lleva a cabo la misa de Don Lupe a donde Carmelo decide ir con Catalina. Pero llega cuando la misa ya terminó y en la puerta lo esperan todos lo hombres del pueblo para impedir su entrada a la iglesia.

     Adela remains unable to communicate. She will probably remain like this for the rest of her life. In her head she keeps trying to tell everyone that she won the the lottery, and she will be able to get better medical care. Instead Gustavo and Luisa take her "home" to Alicia's house which will soon be theirs. Alicia will sell them her home when she returns from her honeymoon and she will move to Luis' apartment.

     Meanwhile at the reading of Silvia's will. Ricardo is upset that Eduardo is the other person the attorney was waiting for. Silvia left her will on a videorecording. She leaves Ricardo all the clothes and stuff she bought him while they were together as well as the memories of their time together and all the luxuries he will no longer have! All her money and possesions she leaves to Lalo and she tells him she always loved him.

     Carmelo is driving like a madman to get to the mass for Don Lupe. Sebastian is telling the men of the pueblo that he does not want Carmelo at the mass. All the men agree to help keep Carmelo out. The Presidente (police chief?) tells Sebastian that he has enough (I don't know if he said men or charges) to arrest Carmelo when he gets there. The mass takes place (Antonieta is standing at the back of the church).

Carmelo, Catalina and Petra arrive just as the mass has ended. Sebastian and all the men rush out to stop Carmelo. Panchito (who up until this point I thought was pretty level-headed) tries to handcuff Carmelo. They struggle and Carmelo handcuffs Catalina to himself. Sebastian and Carmelo argue and threaten each other. Carmelo threatens to harm Catalina and the baby. Sebastian suddenly runs to a car a drives off. Ramiro and Don Chucho follow him in another car. Carmelo of course thinks he has won and walks into the church with Catalina still handcuffed to him. All the men move aside and let him through. At the coffin Carmelo cries and starts to talk to Don Lupe about never acknowledging him, etc. He lets on that he had kidnapped Don Lupe. Panchito starts to come near and pretends to accept that Carmelo was Don Lupe's son and that he is the rightful heir, in order to get Carmelo to keep talking about what he did to Don Lupe. In the meantime Jessica is looking through all the legal stuff and finds that the name change for Carmelo had never been officially confirmed. She rushes off to the church to tell Sebastian. Antonieta runs up behind Carmelo and Catalina screaming at Fr. Demetrio to do something. Carmelo keeps talking and incriminating himself further. Sebastian is at the hacienda getting a gun. Ramiro and Don Chucho try to stop him. Don Chucho even offers to shoot Carmelo himself as he is old can live the rest of his days in jail! Sebastian gets away and rushes back to the church. He and Carmelo face-off. Carmelo of course threatens to hurt Catalina and her unborn child. Jessica arrives and tells everyone that Carmelo married Catalina using the Mendoza name however he is not legally a Mendoza because it never became official. So this means that Carmelo and Catalina are not really married. Suddenly a shot rings out, everyone looks around. Carmelo is shot by the Presidente. He falls at the feet of Antonieta who is screaming hysterically. They think Carmelo is dead -- he isn't. At some point here Rufina tells Petra to tell who Carmelo really is. Petra tells Antonieta that he is her son. Carmelo hears and struggles to speak and says no way is that woman his mother. Antonieta is still screaming, everyone is stunned, there is lots of blood! Carmelo dies!

     Sebastian and Catalina make plans to be married by the church. They visit Adela and Sebastian reassures her that he will do everything possible to make her comfortable. You can hear the little voi
