"I’ve got a lot on my mind today, too much for blogging. I am grateful, though, for memorized Scripture. The following Psalm has also been especially precious. I post it here in the King James Version, first, because that’s how I memorized it, and second, because my preferred (for accuracy) NASB is no more accurate, and utterly destroys the poetry." -Source Psalm 121 A Song of degrees "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. I comfort myself with these words in hopeless situations: Isaiah 40:27-31 King James Version (KJV) 27Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? 28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. |

For there is hope for a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.-Job 14:7 |

Although the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labour of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me to walk upon my high places. -Habakkuk 3:17-19 1 Like |
