RIM is in critical financial mess.
RIM is about to be sold to a competitor
RIM lost its large market share to APPLE and Samsung
RIM controlled the market in the early 2000 but failed to innovate.
RIM qwerty keypad phones are becoming obsolete
RIM has no plan to come up with large screen dual/quad core smartphone
RIM does not attract apps developers any longer.

Let's pray so that this beloved company will not go under.
With blackberry I enjoy unlimited browsing and downloads just for 1500 naira per month. No other products can give that.

@OP,

you have just posted false information for God knows what reason

Line 1: how's a company with surplus cash of $2billion in a financial mess?
Line 3: market share loss is not news and has been on for more than 3yrs
Line 5: if qwerty keyboard devices are obsolete, why is Nokia, Samsung and HTC all coming to the market with new phones with qwerty keyboards?
Line 6&7: how do you know? do you run the company? the playbook is a dual core tablet and their new line of phones are going to better that

get your facts right and get a life

Yeah. They will need a lot of prayer and more to survive. Again, they are pretty much history in the Western world. However, they seem to have found a niche market in the developing countries.

According to The Wall Street Journal, more
executives have fled RIM since the company
released its dismal quarterly report at the end of
March. The company had officially announced the
departure of two executives plus the stepping
down of former co-CEO Jim Balsillie from the
company's board, but the WSJ's sources say two
more top executives have also fled the coop.
The new departures include Alistair Mitchell, a
vice president of the BlackBerry Messenger
department, and Alan Brenner, a senior vice
president at the company. RIM confirmed that
Mitchell was no longer with the company, and
said that Brenner would be leaving "after a
transition period."
RIM reported a loss of $125 million in its Q4 2012
earnings report, and said that it would no longer
provide specific "quantitative guidance" for its
BlackBerry device sales going forward. CEO
Thorsten Heins said the company was going to
refocus its efforts on its strengths, especially the
enterprise market, while still preparing to launch
new BlackBerry 10 consumer devices later this
year. He also mentioned that RIM could
potentially pursue licensing agreements for its
operating system with other manufacturers.
