Hi Nairalanders! I got my FIRS letter today. Documentation starts on 13th of August. Induction should be in September.

For those coming into Abuja from afar, I suggest you get into Abuja around 9th of August so you could wait till 13th to do your documentation. No point traveling "up and down."

For documentation, you'll need your original credentials, medical fitness certificate from a Federal Medical Center or Teaching Hospital, bank details, NHF & RSA details (if you have a National Housing/ Pension account), LGA identification letter, 2 references (at least one from a civil servant (gl 12 and above), marriage certificate, means of ID- int'l passport, national ID or Drivers License, 6 passport photos, birth certificate.

Congrats to all the new tax guys! If you are not on this list, I believe your miracle is on its way.

Pls go to FIRS office even if u didn't receive any message for ur letter if u re sure u did well in d interview. That was what I did and I've collected mine. All u need to enter d compound is d text message u received for d interview in March.

I was a bit dissapointed with d salary grade level after almost 13 yrs of graduation and 5yrs of ICAN qualification. Is it advisable to leave a job that is paying more for FIRS?

@ Kartatisko, well, i heard they give quaterly bonus and the quaterly bonus is your one months gross salary based on ur performance for the quater. Another thing your should consider is job security which fg govt jobs offer. Hope this helps you in making a decision.

I have just picked my employmt leta. 4 dos saying dat som body cheked ur name 2 confirm dat ur name is there. Let me say it, nobody can chek ur name 4 u except he or she has ur i.d card. If u present ur i.d card, they wil now chek & tell u d numba in which ur name falls. U wil now use d numba 2 collect ur leta

My advice to J2dn is to go to Abuja Himself instead of sending people to check for your name.

Do not just stay at home without stepping out to Abuja for collection.

You can see I have stepped out and collected mine.
