montelik: Both Mayweather and Pacquiao need to make this fight happen before people and events make it lose flavor. Why should Mayweather be asking for drug tests that are even more stringent than Olympic standards. Its an unnecessarily petty move to ask an accomplished boxer to subject himself to such (a multi champion for that matter). Pacquiao should also realise that he can't split the purse evenly for such a fight, as Mayweather is the bigger draw whether he likes it or not.

According to Mayweather its strange for a boxer to go from Featherweight (126 lb) and go all the way and and start beating Junior-middleweight boxers (154 lb) Floyd said it was him the boxing authority would demand him to take the test. Now Mayweather did agree to come into the ring nothing more than 147lb, so why don't Pacman take the test during the last 8 weeks leading to the fight.

Its called "Defence", he uses his upper shoulder to cover his lower jaw or chin, am sorry you throw a punch at your own peril!! ask Ricky Hatton who throws over 250 punches each round couldnt get through before Mayweather started raining in the punches, he did the same to Oscar De La hoya like he always say "Skillz payz the Billz" and remember Cotto is Junior Middleweight boxer much bigger, Mayweather floats between 140 (Jnr Welter) and 147 (Welter).

If you understand boxing and understand Floyd fighting skill I think u'll understand that fight better. Cotto threw the most puny in the bout but did he get any point? Capital NO! Because he wasn't hitting target. And if u watch its obvious most pple at MGM that day are fools. They were chanting whenever cotto was combining punches but they forgot this is not takwando where u can hit anywhere. He was trowing failed punches and falling into that Floyd's "monster right".

B.S and Floyd knows it all too well. Pacquiao isn't Ricky Hatton (blinded by a huge payday plus glitz & glamour) whom Mayweather can bully and deceive into accepting fight conditions that will guarantee Mayweather an obvious advantage.

So Pacquiao should accept a rigid drug testing regimen that will require regular blood & urine tests leading up till the fight night. Tests that go past even the most stringent standards. If you believe these are simply pin-prick blood tests, they aren't. They will be drawing a decent amount of blood from him. Any sensible boxing insider knows this sort of thing will affect a boxers fight preparations depending on the way said boxer trains for fights.

Mayweather asked for tests even more stringent than the Olympics, Pacman said he would agree to slightly more aggressive testing than the usual standards. Mayweather insisted it was his way or no deal. Then Pacman's crew said they would accept Mayweather's testing conditions but no drawing of blood within 30 days of the fight(a sensible compromise). Mayweather's camp insisted it was his way only. Who is hiding from whom? In fact recently Pacman tentatively agreed to the full compliment of Mayweather's testing requests but then asked for more money and insisted on a guaranteed and equal purse split (reasonable compromise). Mayweather's camp couldn't make it happen and Pacquaio moved on to other fights while Mayweather has been going around whispering drug cheat e.t.c trying to shame Pacman into agreeing to fight him under conditions that favor him.

Considering Pacquiao is a confirmed great himself, a 7 weight world champion and now considered one of the best pound for pound fighters today. Why should he bend over for Mayweather? If anyone is running it is Mayweather, by making unreasonable and uncompromising demands when he has little reason, evidence or leverage for his requests.

Pacman wanted to split the Pay Per View 50/50, and Mayweather said no which I agree, Floyd is box office and draws the highest PPV in boxing since the days of Mike Tyson and Oscar De La Hoya....
