I remember sumtym ago i heard d CBN wanted 2 reduce d highest currency denomination to 50naira inorder to reduce the cost of production and purchases & also the diminish the level of looting by our political counterpart. Where did dat policy runs to? This goes a long way to show that this country is just so backward. |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO This will further impoverish our already dead Naira and bring about hyper inflation. What plans do these lucifers actually have in mind for this country? I weep. I guess its finally time to take a hike. Oh! Nigeria! Blessed by God, impoverished by its own. |

What is it with CBN and Nigerian Currencies? Nigeria might probably go back to the days of 'cowries' as medium of exchange considering the unfortunate tendencies of CBN leadership to continually convert paper bills to coins, coins to paper and d likes. I thot there was this talk abt cashless policy so why the 2000 n 5000 bills again? Katakata dey dis country o |

What is mallam Sanusi thinking of , does he want us to start buying biscuit from the maiguard for one hundred naira? This man should know that the higher the denomination we have the lower the value of the currency. This man should go and look for his thinking cap and think about this before he plunges the people into more hardship. We neva recover from subsidy o

! ! |

Re: CBN Plans To Introduce N5000, N2000 Notes by Bello555: 5:50am On May 15, 2012 |
Charles soludo, was very correct to want to redominate our currencies in the sense that, N100=N1, N1000=N10 so dat d smaller notes will fall into the category of coins. What is the use of advocating for a cashless society when you have plans to make new notes? The CBN govenor is contradicting himself and i think he is confused |
