IMHO, tax-payers money can be put to better use... What happened to housing facilities or creating enabling environment for entrepreneurs to improve upon their skills and earn legitimate income... Pedestrian bridge is perfect, let the money for AirconditioningSystem be invested in fitting this bridge wit CCTV camera and we can curb crime on the pedestrian bridge and arnd IBARA too... Solar panels will also be effective in generating the required power-source... |

Constructing an enclosed bridge is modern and a good idea but installing airconditioners in it in present day Nigeria is sheer stupidity given that Nigeria is not known to have proper maintenance culture. Governments in Nigeria should instead seek for ways to improve the economic situations of its citizens and not embark on unecessary fanciful stuffs that don't add value to lives. |

Re: Ogun State To Construct Air-conditioned Pedestrian Bridge. by niddamugu(m): 11:36am On May 30, 2012 |
The Gov. should tell us the average time one spends crossing the bridge - 1hr, 30mins or 3mins (max). Why do we need the AC for goodness sake? I won't be surprised if they start building toilets on them. |
