I have come to discovered that our private schools treats their teachers as slaves, overuse and at the end pay them poor or peanuts salaries. A graduate whose parent spent so much money in training at the university will end up in a private school where he or she will paid peanuts as salaries. Why are private schools like this. A teacher will leave his or her home around 7am and come back home by 5pm and still can't boast of N20,000 a month with lesson salary. The funny thing is that these private schools their school fees ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 respectively. Why are private schools frustrating our graduate in this country? Are they taking advantage of lack of employment in Nigeria to suffer their teachers? Some don't even pay the peanuts salaries regularly but parents and guidance pay fees everyday to their schools. You see these teachers teaches for years upon years with nothing to show. Some even put on tear and rag clothes to school simply because they can't buy new ones. These teachers can't even leave their job because the moment they resign others unemployed graduates takes over and continue to suffer from where their predecessors stopped Their salaries are not even enough to feed not to talk of buying clothes. Can government setup Private schools minimum salary payment scheme. Graduate are suffering and this is oppression
