please advise. I found a Mazda 6 with a clean VIN record but right hand drive for a give-away price and I know a very good engineer that does conversions.(I've seen him convert Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Corolla, Avensis etc) and the aesthetic is awesome compared to others. What I want to know from the gurus is that are there any side effects to converting vehicles?

conversion is ok, my brother converted his Avensis some months ago, now, is workin fine, but only dat there are so things that wil change position, e.g position of d horn nd other minor things

Provided the conversion is done properly - no issue will arise.

The only issue is that the steering wheel may lock at top speed.

i bought a toyota avensis 2002 model for 600k(RHD), it took 2 months for the changing,the cost of changing it keep on changing from 220k to 275k.
the passenger air bag was patched, tie rod welded, inshort it was a bitter experience.
the a/c did not circulate very well and high fuel consumption
i always visit mechanic because the steering is always making noise
all in all i spent above 950k plus comprehensive insurance
i only used it for 3months before i sold it for 720k with prayer and fasting
if you will buy it atall make sure you get a good mechanic and also monitor the conversion
i wiill advise you buy LHD that will give you comfort, satisfaction and value for your money

I suspect you dont want to return to Nigeria at the expiration of your visa. Why dont you return to Nigeria, get your passport renewed and return to Europe? Why take the risk of staying abroad without necessary papers? Its not the best option except you have someone there who really really know the wherewither.

I suspect you dont want to return to Nigeria at the expiration of your visa. Why dont you return to Nigeria, get your passport renewed and return to Europe? Why take the risk of staying abroad without necessary papers? Its not the best option except you have someone there who really really know the wherewither.

You can also try Paris. Passports are issued there.

pls look for other eu states around u dat can do it for u.
in the u.k it takes about 10days dats after u get an appt.

AND dnt go to nigeria just becos u want to renew passport o, u go hear weeeeeen.
whether u get paper or not stay were u are, be inquisitive, ask questions act fast,
dnt always listen to pples interpretation of immigration laws read it for urself,
one day GOD willing u will get ur papers(dats if u dnt have) no body carry paper come
from their country of birth.

where did you do your conversion?

Go for LHD. If u foolishly persist or let anybody mis advise u, it's u dat will come back to tell the unpleasant story. The cost of doing a perfect conversion is prohibitive and un economical. Dont go there.

U will Hv problem with steering, ac, n other electrical problems now n then. Was my experience with my corollary, had to sell it at half price.

I used a converted sedan for 5 years and the only problem I had was when two cables that were not properly selotapped bridged thereby causing fire outtbreak in the engine compactment. Thank God for His mercies and for fire extinguisher too. If properly converted, I don't think there will be any issues.

I'm sorry for derailing the thread but no one gave me a response at the travel section so I decided to use the front page topics.
I have my papers, I'm actually studying in Austria and I'm going for a study abroad program.
The country's embassy that I'm going to said that my Intl. passport must have min. 15 months before expiration and mine expires in 10 months that's why I asked and I have to do it as quickly as possible.

. We actually had ours done at Madrid in Spain and it took us 3 working days as we were given consideration because we travelled from Budapest to Madrid and we ve already booked our return ticket. I will implore you to contact the Nig. Emb. at Wienn so that necessarily papers will be issued to before ur departure to Spain,Holland or Germany. But,I think Germany is closer to you. Stay blessed
