Phones / Re: I’m Addicted To My Phone. How Can I Reduce It? by ameh43: 8:05am On Oct 29, 2022
Try to make physical friends outside social media, you will see that away from phone lies the reality of good companion. You can stay with good friends for hours without a thought of ur phone.

Idiot
But there are issues raised in this video that I actually feel is not out of place. Where these people that lost their lives subject to same protection or they were left for Got to protect them and the other for the bullet proof car? I am not in support of anyone mocking adversary of others but common sense should be applied in some situations... When you are given stickers and the giver goes around with bullet proof cars, oga wise up oh! Lolzzzz

For been honest with the ugly truth that some personalities protect themselves and expose their security personnel to risk? Where the security people that were killed not humans that should be subject to same protection? What happens to their families now? If it was God, was God only for the pastor? Let us at times face the truth no matter how hard it hit us. Outside the way the message was passed, he wasn't saying anything out of place.. We worship man instead of God

The myopic thinking of many people is astonishing... How can somebody make jest of sad situations like this.... 8 people lost their lives in that incident for christ sake.

Because they weren't protected by the bulletproof car. That is what the guy was trying to say... It was bulletproof that saved him and others were killed because the same protection wasn't given to them. Na lie?

Lol...
Google Metaverse program, they train software engineers for 6months, you have to up and ready from 8am - 6pm I assume.

Even if 5 people graduate from Alx, they're human beings, one thing tho about the program is that, it is advisable to do it while you're unemployed.

I'm currently on the program, my 4th month actually. It hasn't been easily doing it while working an 8am - 8pm job but this is why ALX advise connecting with your peers. You can always meet them when struck.

Op probably didn't have close Colleagues in the program or never went to them when it was difficult.

airsaylongcome was right, passion
will play a role in keeping you for a long time in the program.
Please how do I connect with you? I am Waiting for my induction and would really appreciate any advice and material I can be playing with to get myself ready for the task ahead. No prior knowledge of programing so, what do you advice? I really will appreciate connecting with you

Mehn... A lot has happened!! Like a lot

First, I have gotten a laptop! Yeah, a good laptop! And it was thanks to the August cohort members who decided to contribute and get me one.

Secondly, I completed the Alx Virtual Assistant Program last Sunday, mehn... It has been a struggle using my phone to multi-task, now I can practice more with my laptop.

This is my fourth month in Alx program as a software engineer, many things has happened during this period, I made great friends, broaden my knowledge on C even though it was a struggle.

I really struggled with C because I had to finish watching Tutorials before practicing with Sololearn. So happy to get a laptop.

There were days I questioned myself on the knowledge I have accumulated and if the period time for time was worth it because I felt I haven't learnt much, but I didn't allow it discourage me.

I came across a video that had the answers to most of my questions. Especially about my journey as a software engineer, I will be writing down the things I have learnt from the video and my friends who are experienced developers. They include the following:

PS: these are tips for software engineers

- Don't try to learn everything! -
- Build projects while learning
- Solve problems with your skills

Not learning Java, C++, python, C#, PHP because you saw them as a requirement for a job, rather get good at a programming, build projects with it, solve problems with that language, which will showcase that you are that good at it.

Using myself as an example, I intend to specialize as a backend engineer using python and C++. Python is a high level language which will be slow with operating systems, this is where C++, a low level language comes in.

I hope you don't find this boring lol
Please I am waiting for my induction to start the training. I will really want all the advice and relevant tips that you can assist with. If there is a group on any media that I can join, let me know pls. Thanks

I understand how frustrating it could be but the advises wasn't a bad one.... The life style and the choice of friends actually is the greatest determinant of marriage... Keeping those not ready to settle down or those not sincere enough to let you know who you really are can actually leads to failed relationships.... A review of choices and standard should be your priority not the advises received

Once you tell me to give you space, I'll blank you afterwards. Whatever I feel for you will die a natural death after sometime, will talk to you like nothing ever happened between us and that's how life should be.

Never be stuck with someone who doesn't want you anymore, you will only end up hurting yourself further if you continue.
I'm sorry that your breakfast got served soon but not too worry, it would get to everybody smiley

Mr. Oke and your likes, where were you all when this PIB bill was under consideration for years. No one take time to read, understand and comprehend what is in the bill but rather too lazy and wait for it to be passed before shouting. It’s very pathetic that we have so called analysts, eleders, experts, etc that cannot comprehend enough and provide suggestions through their representatives and even publish it in the pages of newspaper before the bill was passed. This bill has been under consideration for many years.
The resps n senators were busy shearing the money and forgot that the north are really working tirelessly to favour their people.... No be by book na by sense and planning... The north are very good in planning their thing....

One thing I dislike about Northern politicians is their insincerity. You know this money is coming from the South/South, East and West oil producing communities and you are still complaining about how much these communities should get. 5% is even small...

If the oil was in the north, I tell you, Nigeria would have disintegrated a long time ago cos they are greedy and won't even take what the south is taking.
Blame your rubber stamp representatives and senators in the house.... Were they sleeping while the bill is been passed? Yeye people
