Since you are in the UK, you can apply with an expired passport. Just increase the validity year of your passport. In additional docs, include a letter to explain what you have done. You may also include proof of application for renewal as a back up. I know ppl who have done this with no issues.

I personally know a few people (about 3) who applied for visas ( not PSW) with expired passports. They got the visas.
On one occasion, the system refused to accept Dec 2023 as date of expiration . She entered Dec 2024 just to pass that stage on the application. Then, she wrote an explainer, detailing how she has booked for passport renewal and how the nigeria passport biometric queue is long.
She received her visa.

When you submit your GV application, it's a tick box exercise........ Once the passport validity is got a red tick, GV application would simply not proceed.......

I used to know someone at NHC, but I think he got redeployed back to the trenches........😁

An expired passport according to you, is still a valid form of identification...... In the real world, an expired passport is not a valid form of identification .......

Seek ways to get your Nigerian passport renewed....... If you know someone, that knows someone....... 😁

NB : Let's stop waiting till the last minute, before we get our passports renewed...... You can renew your Nigerian passports, 6 months to expiration (why wait till last minute dotcom).....

The average price for tax clearance now is between 120k - 250k depending on the state and office and as they know that more people needs it still going to increase, cause as at 3weeka ago office that was doing it for 50k is now collect 150k, just did mine now
