For those quoting me, let me lecture you a bit, this is a faceless forum, people say things that aren't even true or say a thing about them.

Some are the most gentlest you've ever come across but appear to be one wicked soul and a lion. Na lie.

Some are poor but type shit here like they feed the nation and own the refinery.

Some are rich but act like they don't have shishi, awon modest gang

Some are even simps but come here to lecture you on how to take red pills

Some are oloshos but act like housewife material, if you fall for it, oyo lo wa

Some are still learning work but come here to tell us how they've bombed China, USA and all, set awon Yahoo

Some are bitter in their realities but appear as though they are happy.

Some are meanwhile wicked in real life and appear nicer looking for who to fall for their jack shit.

The list is endless.

The truth is most of us here if not everyone come here to catch fun before we go back to face whatever it is we're facing.

Don't take people serious because of their post.

This second wave of COVID-19 is getting very serious. The numbers that NCDC posted yesterday was scary. Unfortunately, most people are not taking the virus seriously again.

I just hope the Pfizer vaccine will get to us latest by January. That’s the only solution to this crazy virus.

not sure how we can logistically handle the Pfizer vaccine in Nigeria as it needs to be stored at a temperature of
-70 degrees Celsius and the other Moderna vaccine needs a -20 degrees Celsius storage environment

Also the Pfizer/Oxford vaccine needs to be administered twice between 2 weeks, even if we can store at delivery source coming off the plane, do we have effective distribution supply channels across the country?

Can we deal with those conditions?

Trade is not balalnced when it comes to Africa because Africa as a whole produce very little products (and even services ) to start with. What are we going to trade with apart from primary raw materials that is explored and extracted by the same foreigners you want to trade with.

Africa needs to invest heavily in infrastructure necessary for industrialisation, ie education, power and transportation infrastructure, else we will continue to be the hewers of wood and drawers of water for other continents.

well said thanks for buttressing my point.

There is a cut off date for albums released to be available for selection

August 31
To allow sufficient time for preparation, the cutoff date for eligible recordings will move from September 30 to August 31. This change means the eligibility period for the 2020 awards is eleven months (October 1, 2019 – August 31, 2020), a month shorter than usual.

So what do we caption this now

I’m not a davido fan but not all great artists have won a Grammy, hope you know that.

It’s just a recognition of ones work not the bar to measure greatness

Jimmy Hendrix one of the greatest guitarists ever never won a Grammy but you can’t mention great instrumentalist ever and not look his way.

We need to stop this comparison and divisive ways.

PRESS BRIEFING ON THE CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF LT GEN TY BURATAI's MEETING WITH PRINCIPAL STAFF OFFICERS, GENERAL OFFICERS COMMANDING AND FIELD COMMANDERS HELD AT THE ARMY HEADQUARTERS CONFERNCE ROOM ABUJA ON MONDAY 26 OCTOBER 2020

Ladies and Gentlemen of the press

1. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Tukur Yusufu Buratai has just finished an important meeting with his Principal Staff Officers (PSOs), General Officers Commanding(GOCs) and Field Commanders this morning here at the Army Headquarters Conference Room.

2. At the meeting, the COAS Lt Gen TY Buratai made it unambiguously clear to the PSOs, GOCs and Field Commanders that there will be no room for disloyalty amongst all officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army (NA). He directed that they (PSOs, GOCs and Field Commanders) must reiterate to all their subordinates that the NA is determined to ensure democratic stability in Nigeria as the only panacea for development and progress. General Buratai also said - "The best system of governance is democracy and we must all ensure that Nigeria's democracy remains stable and steady. We will not allow any force, elements or destabilising agents in or outside our country to set our beloved country on fire. We remain resolute in doing everything possible to ensure that subversive elements, detractors and other enemies of this great nation do not achieve their aims and objectives of destabilisation".

3. General Buratai drew the attention of all the participants at the meeting that - "The events of the past few days in our dear nation have shown the determination of some unscrupulous individuals and groups to destabilize Nigeria by all means. These individuals, groups and other undesirable elements have hijacked the peaceful #ENDSARS protest marches resulting to widespread violence, acts of wanton destruction and looting of public and private properties in many parts of the country. These acts led to the imposition of curfew in several states of the federation" - he stated.

4. He also said that right from the onset of ENDSARS protest, the NA has been aware of the grand design by the sponsors of the protests to draw it into the crisis. The plan was to embark on massive propaganda to discredit the military and the government so as to set the people against the NA once it is called out to aid the civil authorities. The NA being aware of the devilish plan was careful not to be dragged in and issued the initial warning through a press release on 14 October 2020 of our resolve to secure and safeguard a United Nigeria. Now the detractors alongside their local and international collaborators have mischievously and deliberately misrepresented troops' efforts to ensure compliance with the curfew imposed by legitimate civil authorities in Lagos and other states. These agitators are falsely accusing the NA of being responsible for the activities of the miscreants despite glaring evidence to the contrary. They have continually threatened to report the NA to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and also threatened various forms of sanctions against personnel and their families. Thankfully however, a large percentage of Nigerians and the international community have started seeing through the smokescreen of falsehood and deliberate misrepresentation of facts being orchestrated by enemies of Nigeria and have retracted their earlier false publications.

5. The COAS further said -"Despite all these, the NA has continued to exercise restraint applied all the Principles of Internal Security Operations and fully abided by the internationally recognized Rules of Engagement as contained in our published Standard Operating Procedures for Internal Security Operations which are derived from the International Human Rights Laws and are in accordance with the international principles guiding the use of force". He used the opportunity to re-emphasize that none of the PSOs, GOCs, Field Commanders and other officers and soldiers of the NA should be afraid of the ICC for carrying out their legitimate duties as stated in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and other extant laws, rules and regulations of Nigeria. He further averred that -"They have every right under the Constitution to carry out assigned and legitimate roles of maintaining law and order in aid of civil authorities and other security agencies. He reiterated that anyone who doubts their commitment to their constitutional responsibilities must be made to know that they remain committed, loyal and unwavering in ensuring the unity, stability and security of our dear country Nigeria. He charged them to show the detractors and other elements of destabilization that they are neither part of them nor in anyway supportive of their activities at all times. He directed that any act of arson or attempt to kill or maim any military or security personnel and other law abiding civilians must be responded to quickly and decisively.

6. According to him -"In dealing with any security threat, they must fully cooperate with personnel of the Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies and must ensure that everyone is in full compliance with imposed curfews and any other extant security instructions in force".

7. General Buratai also alerted the PSOs, GOCs and Field Commanders that -"The recent activities by unscrupulous elements have shown their desire to acquire arms and ammunition at all cost from security personnel. No less than 10 AK-47 rifles have been lost to these miscreants in the past 2 weeks across the country with attendant lost of lives of personnel. He charged Commanders to nip in the bud this emerging trend at all cost, and directed them to warn their troops on internal security or on guard duties outside the barracks to be at maximum alert at all times and to also deal decisively with any attack on their duty locations". General Buratai concluded that - "There is no choice between a democratically United, strong and prosperous Nigeria and a nation disunited in a state of anarchy and retrogression. We must all strive for a united, strong, stable and progressive Nigeria".

8. At the end of the meeting, the PSOs, GOCs and Field Commanders resolved to:

a. Remain Loyal to the Federal Government of Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari.

b. Ensure the unity and indivisibility of our country.

c. Assist the Federal Government to bring an end to insecurity across the country and to prevent miscreants and criminals from hijacking the ENDSARS protest nation wide.

d. Remain focus and not to be deterred by any local or international threats.

e. All Commanders have been directed to intensify joint training with the Nigerian Police and other Sister Security Agencies to enhance interagency collaboration and cooperation.

9. Finally, I wish to extend the appreciation and best regards of the COAS. You are please requested to give this maximum publicity. Thank you for your attention and safe journey back to various destinations.

A very cheap and lame response. Does Sowore represent your everyday politicians. Is it not because upright individuals are too scared to join politics that a fearless individual like him decided to get into the ring. Except that Nigerians are lame and docile, and musicians like Burna perfectly reflect this. You are singing revolutionary music but you can't be a revolutionary because it's all for the fame and money. You don't have to protest or get involved physically but don't try to disparage efforts of those who decide to, and put everyone in the same category as your thieving politicians. And who were laughing at Fela when he was alive? Maybe your parents.. You were just a child and knew nothing. People like us knew Fela from childhood and knew he was right all along.

My sincere apologies for my poor choice of words. I just get emotional when I see the way things are in the country and how ordinary Nigerians and even youths are the ones condemning, pulling down and crucifying the only few people who dare to speak up or stand up to the useless leaders.

You say Sowore became popular only in GEJ's era? well that's just for you who. Back in the days before he even set up saharareporters, Sowore was even a thorn in OBJ's flesh especially during the third term agenda. A lot of people wouldn't have known this cos the internet and social media wasn't rampant then unlike today.

REgarding Yaradua's sickness saga, Oh yes! Sowore played a good role, he was the first person who alerted Nigerians that Yaradua was in a comatose state in Saudi Arabia, he was the first to alert Nigerians when Yaradua was sneaked into the country on a stretcher, he was the first to alert Nigerians on the sleaze being perpetrated by the Yaradua kitchen cabinet during the sickness days. It was the back to back tormenting reportage of bodies like SR that unsettled the cabal and forced them to step aside, making the senate then to enact the 'doctrine of necessity' which made GEJ the Ag. President at the time (this was several months before Yaradua's 'official' death). If not for the leakages from SR, the statusquo would have remained for a really long time; i.e. GEJ relegated to one corner while the cabal squandered Nigeria.

Like I said before, i have a right to support or criticise any candidate I choose, in the way I choose. I support a person today isn't a reason I shouldn't criticise or dump them the moment they misbehave; that is my prerogative. If you like, keep wailing till year 2099 over the election loss of GEJ in 2015; for the record, GEJ was a useless president, and even with what I know now about the uselessness of PMB, if the world goes back in time, I wouldn't still support GEJ or PDP in that election, I'd rather be neutral!
