Peppysco: The Segun bn mentioned in the conversation is Segun Adebutu..... Adebutus Kessingtons son https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segun_Adebutu "Allegations In an exclusive report, Nigeria's Premium Times reported that Segun Adebutu had been detained and questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on January 28, 2020, at the anti-graft Lagos office for economic sabotage and tax fraud of about five billion naira, associated with Premier Lotto, a company of which he is an executive director. Other newspapers, such as New Telegraph, TheCable and Pulse Nigeria, substantiated this report. On February 18, 2020, Adebutu told Premium Times that he had been interrogated but not detained as was reported.[15] He said he had gone to the EFCC to represent his father, who was unavailable at the time to answer the EFCC summons. According to him, "I was never invited to EFCC office by the EFCC operatives but voluntarily visited the office of the EFCC following a letter written to the managing director of Premier Lotto, a company in which the Adebutu family has business interest". After further clarifications from the company, the EFCC found no malpractices in the affairs of Premier Lotto and Segun Adebutu and the matter was dismissed." IspitonCowards:77 My dear bro or sis, I am not in any way shape or form related to the man Buhari replaced her with, in fact not anywhere close . Also I am not a bitter person, I just believe in equity and fair play as the space at the top is very limited and choked. NOI had played a major role globally and well respected, in fact she's qualified for the job without a shadow of a doubt Also I also respect her and used to put up strategic defence for her work pro-bono while she was Minister of Finance I just believe if she does not take this role , it still does not erode/diminish the role she has played both in Government, Private and globally. if there are other qualified candidates why not give them a chance.... Yes its good to be ambitious without a doubt, sometimes its always good to empower and pull up other people That is the role NOI should be playing now..... That is all I was trying to drive home. Sincere apologies if I came across wrongly or you got a slanted view of my points. Lastly the WTO role is not as big as the roles she played globally before.... |

IspitonCowards: Please educate my sir/ma.... I repeat the role is nothing more than a red tape role.... it does not change the status quo.... as it stands .... Africa is choked with Chinese and foreign goods.... what will Okonjo Iweala do the change the narrative other than have it on her already accomplished shinny resume? What are the three main functions of World Trade Organization? The main functions of the WTO are: Administering WTO trade agreements. Providing forum for trade negotiations. Handling trade disputes. Monitoring Members' trade policies. Providing technical assistance and training to developing and least developed economies. Cooperating with other international organizations. 1 Like |

IspitonCowards: Is it by force to be in the World Trade Organization Seat ... with all the stuff she has on her hands... board roles all over globally This is now bordering more on big ego[.. if you ask me The seat does nothing for Nigeria or Africa..... its purely for grandstanding and only administrative in nature....... Why is she breaking her head for the role.... is it by force.... The role does not change the world order.... Africa is still the loser based on how world trade is bias and skewed towards the west/1st World... Go an sit down madam before you lose all the respect we have for you...Tescheeeew 1 Like |

OasisT: He was formerly the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company, a subsidiary of Shell Petroleum, Nigeria. National Oil ended up been Conoil... after rebranding .... Mike runs his company as he likes.... see below ....Mike Adenuga also has interests in the downstream sector of the petroleum economy. In the wake of a government-engineered privatisation exercise in the year 2000, Mike Adenuga acquired a controlling stake in National Oil and Chemical Marketing Company Plc (NOLCHEM), a petroleum marketing company. At the time Mike Adenuga acquired the shares, NOLCHEM was a shadow of itself. The company was on the verge of bankruptcy; its stock was trading at an all-time low, and several of its retail outlets were dysfunctional at best. Within a year, Adenuga turned around the fortunes of the company. NOLCHEM, which Adenuga subsequently renamed Conoil PLC, is now one of Nigeria’s largest petroleum marketers. Conoil has over 300 retail outlets spread across Nigeria and is one of the top dogs at the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Ajimobi was MD/CEO of NOLCHEM..... Mikes company.....after he took over the controlling shares... 1 Like |

From which business did they get it from that they now started to buy properties in Ikeja during his tenure like it’s going out of fashion. Please don’t let us open a can of worms here......
