I just finished The travelers and its a really solid show. Its an episode of black mirror turned into a great series. I don't know why it took me this long to watch it. Wow.

Scenes from a marriage might be the best mini series I've seen this year. The delivery from both characters(Jonathan and Mira) was superb, clearly worthy of a nomination. The way they blurred the lines between reality and Fiction was what drew me closer to the show. HBO doesn't screw up. At some point, I could tell just how trained these actors were,it was so fun to watch.

Chapelwaithe and Midnight mass are two great shows I underestimated.

That therapy session in the final episode of the second season in the sinner was all I needed to know how solid the show was. Can't believe I ignored it all this while. If you're looking for another version or an alternative to mindhunter or true detective,The sinner is your best bet.

The north water reminds me of the first season of The terror TV show. Pretty solid.

I really enjoyed No man's land. But the last episode was just off.

Most of the things listed are hourly payment. You have to setup an alarm to monitor the services you use on Aws or Google cloud if not. Your bank account go hear am.

If you don't have plenty of startup capital and users(to justify why you are using cloud services) use a VPS or shared hosting.

Iroko TV spends over $10,000 a month on Aws for their streaming service, they don't have the users nairaland has. When they have the users nairaland has, they will take loan to pay the fees like Netflix. Lol.

Decoupled architecture? Why? There must be a reason to go that far.

Nairaland is a simple app. Its does not need to have the frontend and backend hosted separately. A good dedicated server should handle the load well.

You can use the new buzzwords like angular, vue, nodejs etc to bamboozle the client and win customers but simple plain PHP/Python/Ruby with vanilla javascript will be more than enough to produce nairaland in record time.

I consider the owner of Nairaland to be very smart. this is why nairaland does exactly what it needs to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

Help me tell them. They think this one is a startup that has vc fund to waste.

Watched the first two episodes of barbarians, nothing spectacular. I'll keep watching. Its Vikings and Rome combined.

I started halt and catch fire last week, its really good. I've reached the final season, its a serious version of silicon valley. You'll only get laughs out of the clumsy writing when they speak on technical stuff.

Lovecraft country's episode 6 can actually compete as a standalone short film in an award category. If you watched only this episode, you wouldn't know it was from a TV show.
This was alot better than the previous ones,only problem is that the vibe is different. It feels like black mirror episodes, different stories and a different cast (although Tic was in this). Too bad people weren't patient enough.

I just finished Ratched. This show was beautifully crafted. If you loved that American horror story asylum season, you will definitely enjoy this.
