7 Important Things You Should Know About Dating Guys Who Have Kids

You’re back on the dating scene and met this wonderful guy. You get the impression you met someone who’s serious and hoping to settling down someday. You like him…I mean really like him. He’s given you hope and opened a door you once closed. He has a nice job, his own place, a car in his driveway and surprise…he has a kid. Dating is already complicated and when you add a kid to the mix, it can be a recipe for drama.

Here are a few tips about dating a guy with a child…

1. His kid comes first.

As it should be! His child should ALWAYS be number one. He has a responsibility and an obligation to uphold. If you’re dating someone who’s child doesn’t come first…he isn’t the one for you! One thing you’ll learn about dating a guy with a child is things will not go as planned. His child may get sick during a date or he will cancel plans because he needs a babysitter. Anything can come up and it’s important for you to realize that you’re not the only person in his life. Be patient and understanding.

2. Your relationship may start as a secret.

In the beginning, he may tell no one about you. Don’t worry! He has someone else to think about besides himself. He doesn’t want women walking in and out of his life. He’s smart to take things slow with introductions because a child shouldn’t be involved in the dating process. Stability is important! It’s a good move to make sure things are going well before bringing someone into a child’s life. You don’t want a child to become attached, and that person doesn’t stick around for the long haul.

3. His ex is here to stay.

Yes, you’ll be reminded of their past together. I know it’s a hard pill to swallow, but it’s something you have to accept. They have a history together and will interact with one another. When dating a guy with kids, there’s no room for jealousy. Those insecurities you held in earlier relationships need to be pushed out of your mind. This isn’t a traditional break-up where the ex is no longer present. Even if you don’t care for her actions, it’s important to respect she’s the mother of his child. Don’t get into any arguments with her. The last thing you want is to add unnecessary stress. The communication between them is for the sake of their kid. Trust your man and keep faith in your relationship! CONTINUE READING here >>> http://newbanger.com/7-important-things-you-should-know-about-dating-guys-who-have-kids/
Career / 6 Things To Do While Waiting For A Job by LORDCUPID(m): 1:15pm On Jan 30, 2016
6 Things To Do While Waiting For A Job

The rate of unemployment is increasing by the day, to capture the attention of your future employers therefore; you have to do things differently to distinguish yourself from the crowd. As a young school leaver/ job seeker in Nigeria, there are several things you can do to boost your skills, maximize your strengths and prepare yourself adequately for the job market.

Here are a couple of tips that have worked for others over time:

Invest in yourself by attending relevant courses and training: Lots of people say that training and courses in Nigeria are expensive but a quick search on Google or just taking time out to make inquiries in some training institutes will show you free courses and training within your neighborhood that are geared towards making you more “employable”, helping you acquire more skills and giving you an edge over other job seekers.

Volunteer or do a free internship: While waiting to land the dream job, strategic volunteering increases your chances at getting employed. Unemployed Journalist? Volunteer to a local media house. You can also offer pro bono services to NGO’s to ensure that your skills are up-to-date.

Network and Optimize your Circle of influence: If you have worked before, this is the time to pull out your diary and get in touch with ex-clients, ex- partners, internship supervisors and ex-colleagues and spread the word about your search for a job.
As a young school leaver however, you can speak to your friends and those within your social circle; church groups, gyms, online forums, e.t.c. You will be surprised that someone may just have the perfect job for you.

Also attend events sponsored by your alumni, go to lectures and relevant events organized for your industry. These events are perfect for meeting future employers and also exchanging ideas with people of like-mind.

Freelance: In this age of the internet, you can stay home and earn a living. So how about offering your skills on some freelance websites? Freelancing will increase your experience, skill, resume, income and self-confidence. continue reading here >>>http://newbanger.com/6-things-to-do-while-waiting-for-a-job/

Health / 13 Early Signs You May Be Pregnant by LORDCUPID(m): 12:58pm On Jan 30, 2016
13 Early Signs You May Be Pregnant

What are the earliest signs of pregnancy? Although many of these factors occur at the end of your cycle, they’re also pregnancy symptoms.

Wondering if you’ve got a baby on board? Pay close attention to your body! And if you spot a few of the following symptoms — and your period is MIA — it may be time to head to the drugstore or schedule an appointment with your ob-gyn. “The hormones released as soon as you conceive may start causing subtle changes even before they’re detectable on a home pregnancy test,” says Melissa Goist, MD, clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Ohio State University Medical Center. Unfortunately many, like sore breasts or bloating, also happen right before your period (a sure sign that you’re not pregnant), so it’s all a guessing game until you take a test.

Early Pregnancy Signs: Sore Breasts

This is a very common pregnancy symptom, says Goist. “Breast tissue is extremely hormone-sensitive,” she explains. “When progesterone and hCG start flooding the body after the egg is fertilized, they increase your blood volume, which makes your breasts swell and feel heavier than usual.”

Early Pregnancy Signs: Cramps

You may feel crampy like you have or are about to get your period, but this pregnancy sign is actually triggered by implantation — when the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall. Your uterus may be stretching a little now (hence the cramps) to prep for its massive expansion over the next nine months.

Early Pregnancy Signs: Spotting

“Many women mistake some light bleeding for a period, but as many as 25 percent will have some spotting during implantation,” says Goist. If you notice that your “period” seems way shorter or different from usual, it may be a sign of pregnancy.

Early Pregnancy Signs: Fatigue

There’s tired, and then there’s this: If all you can think about at work is taking a nap or if you’re too exhausted to keep up with everyday activities like hitting the gym, then it may be your body one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. “Even at this early stage of pregnancy — within two weeks of conception — your baby is starting to use up your calories, which can wipe out your energy stores pretty quickly,” says Goist.

Early Pregnancy Signs: Nipple Darkening

Are the boobs are looking a little different these days? Pregnancy hormones also affect the activity of melanocytes, or cells in the nipples responsible for their color. “Darker-complexioned women may not notice this until later in pregnancy — say, around 10 weeks or so,” continue reading here >>>> http://newbanger.com/13-early-signs-you-may-be-pregnant/

Music/Radio / Album Review: Burna Boy – On A Spaceship by LORDCUPID(m): 7:19am On Jan 27, 2016
Burna Boy is back with his sophomore project following his well received debut, L.I.F.E. An undoubtedly talented artist, he is some Sizzla, some Daddy Shokey and perhaps most precious to him, some Fela. His grandfather, Benson Idonije, was Fela’s manager, a connection Burna himself reveres. His homage to the legend started on Run My Race and continued on Soke. There is that, he is from Port-Harcourt, London, speaks pidgin, Patois, English, Yoruba and all his influences are present on On A Spaceship.

After his relationship with Aristokrat Records came to a rather abrupt end, he also parted ways with his erstwhile producer, Leriq, with whom he had hitherto done really good work, as evidenced especially by Like To Party; a left-field, a joint that sounded nothing like what was on the scene at its time of release, with its London-Jamaican influences.

Since then, he’s penned his song-writing and publishing deal with Island Records, released 3 stellar singles that heightened anticipation for the sophomore project, launched his own independent outfit, Spaceship Entertainment and made South-Africa his home earlier in 2015. All that plus his well documented fraternity with South-African rapper, AKA, which spurned the smash-hit All Eyes On Me and his outburst at MTV for the failure to nominate him as a solo act kept him burning on the Naija music radar. continue READING here >>> http://newbanger.com/album-review-burna-boy-on-a-spaceship/

Romance / Ladies!! 7 Steps To Impress Your Future Mother-in-law In The Very First Meeting by LORDCUPID(m): 9:11am On Jan 26, 2016
So girls, you have cleared the first round of marriage selection– met the guy, selected him as your life partner, and matched the kundali. Now it is time for the second round– meeting the future in-laws.
Especially, your would-be mother-in-law!
You must be excited yet nervous, of course. And your mind must be circling around things you should and should not talk about when you meet her, right? Well if all this is going on in your mind right now, then you are at the right place. Here we have the answer to your question. We have mentioned a few points that will help you to get ready for your first big meeting with your future mother-in-law. So, want to know what are they? Then read on.
#1. Don’t give false impressions
Yes, this is the first and the foremost rule of meeting your future in-laws. Don’t try to impress your would-be mother-in-law by saying things like, “Oh! Yes I love cooking”, when you just don’t like it or don’t even know how to cook! Topics like cooking, household chores, career, work hours, etc. are common subjects where most girls end-up giving a false impression, either in their attempts to impress or out of nervousness. Always remember, a false impression can create lot of problems later on.
#2. Don’t belittle her son
You have met the man of your dreams (love marriage or arranged), and you have instantly connected with him. But there are few things or let us say habits of his that you don’t like. Whatever it is, don’t start the conversation with, “Your son has so and so bad habits,” or “I think he smokes too much, maybe you should have done something to stop him,” or anything which raises question on her upbringing. Trust us, no mother would like to hear about her upbringing from some person she is meeting for the first time. You will definitely feel her wrath.
#3. Don’t get into intimate details
If it is a love marriage, then please resist from sharing the intimate details of your relationship. Telling her how your son swept you off your feet, literally, is something any mother would not be pleased to hear. So, keep such information strictly in between you and your man.
#4. No time to bring up the past!
No matter how frank, lovely, sweet or innocent your prospective mother-in-law is or seems to be, never ever tell her about your past love affairs, if you at all had any. This is one thing which only your better half should know. Not many Indian mothers are comfortable with such things, no matter how progressive or open they might seem to be. So, it should be a well-guarded secret. continue reading here >>> http://newbanger.com/ladies-7-steps-to-impress-your-future-mother-in-law-in-the-very-first-meeting-must-read/
Sports / Manchester United Transfer News: Claudio Bravo, Gregory Van Der Wiel by LORDCUPID(m): 11:07pm On Jan 25, 2016
Manchester United are considering a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo if David De Gea opts to leave Old Trafford for Real Madrid and are also eyeing Paris Saint-Germain's Gregory van der Wiel—who is out of contract in the summer.

Spanish outlet Don Balon (h/t Mark Brus of Metro) claims the Chile international stopper is on United's shopping list if they lose their No. 1 to Los Blancos.

Miguel Delaney of the Independent said the Galacticos are confident of overturning their player registration ban imposed by FIFA—which would stop them fielding new captures until 2017—and will push ahead with their plans to bring De Gea to the Bernabeu at the end of the campaign.continue reading here >>> http://newbanger.com/4236-2/
Romance / Tips On Meeting Your Boyfriend's/girlfriend's Parents by LORDCUPID(m): 9:58pm On Jan 25, 2016
Tips on meeting your boyfriend's/girlfriend's parents

The overwhelming feel of loving and being loved can make you conquer the world. With love making you as pleased as punch, you are likely to go overboard with that blissfully special feel of togetherness.

But as you go with the flow painting the town red, there are realities worth considering. As you and your special someone, find yourselves away with the fairies, the scary prospect of presenting love before parents can mean quite a thing. It is also important that you be prepared before meeting your boyfriend's/girlfriend's parents so that you impress them.
Realities worth taking note of

Rather than putting the issue on hold, it is better bracing up for the reality. Do make it a point to remember that both set of parents are equally anxious about meeting their prospective son/daughter in-law.

After all, if you choose to settle down it will do you good to know one another. At times mutual apprehensions and misgivings can be got rid of by meeting one another's parents. It may well be that both sets of parents may be wee bit unconvinced about their so called prospective. Under such a scheme of things, presenting love before parents can help break the ice. continue reading here http://newbanger.com/tips-on-meeting-your-boyfriendsgirfriends-parents/
