Do you sometimes buy second hand clothes?
Or you always buy from boutiques?
What's your view on second hand clothes?

I used to a long time ago before i started working, but i don't do so anymore. Dont think it's nice to patronise second hand clothes because u don't know what infection the person had. Dont really think its safe.

For now, i go for new clothes all the way. Wink

Generally speaking, why do you have to buy second hand clothes when you can generally get new and authentic  Clothes for the price of second hand. Second hand clothes are generally for the motherless and children suffering in the third world at least that was the message passed in the leaflet drop into our house through the doorpost.

Dresswell to get noticed babe.

What a silly and careless statement you just said there. Who says second hand clothes are for the third world alone? Even in the UK, there are numerous second had stores. Europeans at times buy their clthings from this store.

Why? It is cheaper and cost effective.

everybody's second hand starts from somewhere.

go to tejuosho, you will see people buying second hand underwear. more to the point, you cannot say for certain if the clothes you buy in some boutiques are actually brand new ( there is nothing nigerians cannot do)

some people buy second hand clothes
others buy second hand cars
others secondhand planes
others second hand businesses

in summary, if you buy second hand clothes, just make sure you disinfect them throughly.you should probably do this for brand new clothes as well( how many people have tried them on before you bought them?)

GOD HIMSELF CREATED US DIFFERENTLY.
So nobody should be blame for wearing a second hand product but the truth attimes is that the so called boutique wears are gotten from the popular bend down select market.
I wouldn't want to quote anybody but u can just imagine a member saying he used to weare the second hand wear before he starts working but now that he is working he stopped it because of the like jam in the second hand wear. (OSHISKO!!! the jam wey mo kill you before you get work - Nigerians can form sha).

As for me I buy not only because of I don't have the money to enter the acclaimed boutique but because I want to be part of the put that buys it because I know most of them (SECOND HAND BUYERS) are much more better than us and since wey den don dey use am them never die Grin

Kinnni? Second hand cloth is good in such a way that it save you money which can be diverted to Gari, Sugar and Kulikuli,  Grin.
Who say infection dey for cloth? Even if it is there, just rely on DETOL to bath and wash; infections go run

Go to Garki market on Friday and see the mad rush by Boutiqu owners, no space to pass. Its almost a war zone. My sisters and i go there on saturdays and men we get some nice stuff, losts of wonderful tops, office shirts and trousers. See Babes there. Dont even talk about shoes.
However as much as saving money is good, its good to treat yourself to some janded stuff too, let not all be second hand. one of my sisters buys stuff from London and brings to sell every month so we get to patronise her and mix the clothes.

The painful part of it is that most of these boutiques sell these wears at ridiculous prices. . . same price with new ones. well, what i do is to smell it out first, check out the label and examine it verrrry well, because it can be painful if thereafter you discovered you've paid tripple the actual price of a second hand. I think they are good for the economy.

Not everyone can afford the price of new clothes especially with a large percentage of the population struggling to feed well.

Some second-hand clothes, depending on th quality seem have more quality than the affordable new clothes.

The new clothes with very good quality are simply beyond the reach of the average Nigerian.

I, myself, used to wear a lot of second-hand clothes when I had no job to afford the new ones.

Now that I can afford the new ones, most of my clothes are tailored to my physique by affordable designers.

It depends on which part of the economic block you belong to. Undecided

As for me, second-hand clothes have been a lot of help.
