This is my thread! Time for some European football away from the dreary drudge of the EPL.

I see that Frederick Piquionne has signed for Lyon. Has anyone seen if Renato Augusto has made his debut for Leverkusen yet?

Bayern Munich(Hollywood FC) drew their 2nd game again!!!!!

Thanx to the new signing Tim Borowski who saved Bayern's blushes for the 2nd time this new season.
Although, the plonkers were reduced to 10 men after Van Bommel saw RED but it was still an insipid display from Bayern.
Hoffenheim are now the league leaders after taking the maximum 6 points with Bayern Munich copping 2 points.
Would Klinsmann get sacked like General Shitzfeld?? Grin Cheesy

I knew Jackass would be here already.

Bayern drew 2 games reh reh reh Can you tell us how Man Utd started last season which turned out to be their best in the last 9 years.

10 men, who were a goal down, came back to equalise away from home in front of 89,000 spectators

yet you call that Insipid. That puts a serious question mark on your understanding of English.

Early last season in the EPL, Man City was leading and Man Utd close to relegation.

@All. Watch out for Marko Marin of Mochengladbach this season, Toni Kroos, Ivan rakitic, Renato Augusto and how Hamburg would cope without VDV too I think Trochowski should step up his game now

stop jumping to conclusions. . . where is the quote where I said Ligue 1 is better than Prem?. . . . this thread is for European football only, stop bringing Premiership arguments in here. . . . if you don't care for European football, just look away.

BTW, Toni Kroos is one of the highly rated youngsters in Europe with Marko Marin. Maybe in five years time, you will be the one shouting his praises. Afterall, all our stars in the Prem come from Europe. Better to find them first.

my friend, im here to add my cents to european footie just like any football buff will do.

Toni Kroos? highly rated? by who?
ok fine. Christantus is also one of the highly rated youngsters in the world.

My point to Dayo is to celebrate Kroos when hes up there and not when hes still learning how to kick the ball.

Of course Toni Kroos is still a youngster but very highly rated. You may have noticed that he was the only conspicuous player for Gremany in Under 17 World Cup. He is also on the list of the 50 best youngsters by World Soccer Magazine, although he is probably the youngest on that list at 17 years old as of Dec 2007. Dayo is entitled to shout his name, just as Jackal is entitled to shout about Fabio and Rafael and Arsenal fans are entitled to shout about Luke Wiltshire and such. Personally, I prefer Marko Marin or Rakitic if I am to name the top youngster in Germany, although they are slightly older.

@Ibime,

Is it my fault the the whole nited Kingdom has NEVER produced anyone has talented as Toni Kroos and Marko Marin?

Toni Kroos beat Crisantus to the U-17 player of the tournament,.

Toni Kroos has been getting games for Bayern I wonder what about Crisantus. Crisantus should go and worry about displacing Ivica Olic and co in Hamburg.

Toni Kroos is highly rated by FIFA given best U-17 player at the last tourney ahead of Bojan Krkic and macauley, He is highly rated by  World soccer magazine.  So who cares what TKB feels?>

More over they are trying to fill the Lagos Lagoon why dont you jump inside to help govt fill it up Tongue Tongue

@Ibime,
In That German team I saw some very young looking but Talented players Check Sasche Bigalke, Mario Erb and Sukuta-Pasu

I think the development of Marin and Rakitic might be faster than Kroos' because of the clubs they play for  Mochengladbach

and Schalke(No disrespect) But it wont be easy for Kroos to get playing time ahead of Van Bommel, Ze Robeto,

Andreas Ottl, Hamil Altintop, Bastian SChweinsteiger, Franck Ribery, Tim Borowski and those Big boys at Bayern.

But I think at the end, he would be a better player. Marin plays to the wings he has the trickery and Pace but Kroos is a slower

player but can dictate the game from the middle more like a general. Check those U-17 games. He is also good at set pieces.

More like Marin (Cristiano Ronaldo) to Kroos (Zinedine Zidane) in style of play.

The only thang that stopped Bojan was the RED CARD he copped against in the S/finals.
Bojan is 50000 times better than Toni Kroos.

How many games of France 1998 did Zidane play to make his mark?

Bojan profited from Barca injury woes of last season when the Fantastic four were all injured at one point or the other.

If Messi, Etoo,Henry and Dinho were to be at 100% fitness where Bojan for play?

Now i know u are a simpleton.
Bojan was the best player in the under 17 tourney save for the RED CARD he copped. . . .That really tarnished his image.
Remember Zidane coulda suffered the same fate at the last world cup but FIFA confirmed he was chosen before he slammed Materazzi.
How can u compare Bojan's ability to anyone. . . .Toni Kroos?? Get out of here.
Lukman Haruna played better than Kroos.

If they list players at the end of this year, Bojan will not only be amongst the best young players, but will still be counted as a major player in Barca

If that aint a football gist then nuthing is. . . . .

Again, u mentioned the fact that Ferguson has only won 2 UCLs in 22 years.
Your distorted brain forgot to decipher British clubs were banned in the 80s for 5 years in Europe so how did u arrive at 22 years??
You never even knew Ferguson won European cup in 1990 beating Barcelona(yet u kept bawling like a bastard that United don't beat quality teams).

What about your goof that Rooney didn't score a goal that won 3 points for Man Utd last season in Europe??
Should i go on with your chain of goofs or should i just stop and assume u are a pillock?

Atletico and Schalke are like on the same level. But the result flattered Atletico a lot moreover Schalke  was depleted and the guys on display were dire.

Schalke missed Orlando ENgelaar, JEFFERSON Farfan, Their Goalkeeper  who is one of the best in Europe Manuel Neuer.  These trio could have made the difference. Then putting Rafinha on the bench? One of their better performers last season bring a lot of question.

Schalke to me are not really UCL material they are just there to make up the numbers

Kun was also in a killer mood just cutting through Schalke like hot knife on butter
