@ omena,

men shave because it is a necessity for the bearded ones

but you ladies, despite the fact that you're beautiful, still go ahead and 'paint' urselves all in the name of fashion

@poster, women make up becos it is equally necessary for those u want to. so let them be ok? thank God u are not a woman, so be content with what u are and let the women be the way they are.

by the way, have u asked the women in your lineage why they make up?  Cheesy

@ omena,

no body makes up in my family lineage. we're just born beautiful/handsome and perfect

Women use makeup for the same reason you shave and barb your hair:
Because it improves their appearance.  This is a primary one question.
Trimming your beard is no more "necessary" than applying makeup. Wink

agreed. Quite a number of people bastardize the word makeup, but truth is powder (to keep your face from being oily) lipgloss (to keep your lips from being chapped) are a MUST for all ladies.

Then foundation, blusher, lipstick, eye shadow, mascara etc are one a need to need basis, depending on whether u r derssing down or up, u want 2 look different etc and should be applied in moderation

@poster, are u so sure of the above statement? u mean nobody uses powder or body cream or hair cream or lip gloss in your family? cos u all have been born beautiful and handsome?  Huh Huh ???hmmmmm

anyway, one thing u shd know is that makeup is not necessarily for the ugly. u dont say a woman is already beautiful, so she doesnt need make up. im sure that woman makes her hair and will need to apply haircream to it, even if she plaits it, that is part of make up. no matter how beautiful a lady is (even men) im sure they use at least 2 items of makeup. thats becos the word make up is not only attributed to such things as foundation, eye shadow etc.

maybe what u want to ask is why do some ladies overdo it. and even at that, i guess there is nothing u can do abt it.  Smiley

@ omena,

guaranteed.we dont use it in my family. we were just born perfect so there is no need for it.
scientifically, too much makeup hastens the ageing process

Gosh I dislike people that wear makeup, they look horrible whenever they woke up in the morning.

I only wear brown powder since i have a very oily skin (only when am going out)

mascara (when going to party)

Lip gloss (when going out)

My everyday use are Vaseline lip therapy and Blistex lip infusion, I love my natural beauty Kiss Kiss.

I don't want to wake up in the morning and scare my love with those makeups

People that get so use to makeup with unattractive aftwards and naked if they don't have it on.

one other reason why i have bound myself never to look into the handbag of a girl is,

the mountain of innane things you'll find in them and the most common is a makeup kit not minding a stick of roasted agbado in a hidden corner

why do y'all carry much load?

Well I don't know the type of females you talk to, but the way I was brought up by my mum a lady is suppose to have small cosmetics in their bags not just dump the makeup like that inside the bag.

Females that do that are not well organize and dirty Wink
