Says Christians have a right to worship

By OLAJIDE FASHIKUN, YUSUF OZI-USMAN

The spokesman of Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati Wal-Jihad otherwise called Boko Haram has refuted claims by the media on the recent killings and bombings of churches in Nigeria saying their jihad is not against the Christians and their places of worship. The spokesman, Abul Qaqa , denied the Christmas day bombing and other attacks carried out in the country all in their name. He also denied the statement that they asked Christians to leave the northern part of Nigeria, as even the prophet of Allah lived with non believers and they had the right to worship.
He said they are fighting a just cause as the government have been attacking them and they have the right to defend themselves, alleging that they have only killed security operatives, the police and army in self defence.
He said all Christians in the north should not panic, as Islam prohibits attack in places of worship and it is haram to burn or attack a church even during jihad.
“Our prophet told us, do not attack the innocent, women, children and the old, only fight back in self defence, this the teaching of our prophet and that’s exactly what we are doing,” he said.
He also said as untrue claims that they are going to attack protesters, saying it is false as they are in total support of the peoples’ struggle and behind the Nigerian people.
It was only on Sunday, at a special Armed Forces Remembrance Day service at the National Christian Centre in Abuja that President Goodluck Jonathan revealed that government officials, legislature and security personnel have infiltrated the dreaded Boko Haram sect.
As if laying credence to the denial of the Islamic sect which has been credited with the bombing in the nation in recent times, President Goodluck Jonathan abhorred those who have been raiding some parts of the North with bombs, saying that it is an unpatriotic act and a religious sin to kill fellow citizens and innocent people with bombs in the church in order to express one’s grievances.
“It is not the behaviour of decent people anywhere in the world. Those politicians who justify killings in order to gain cheap political points are unpatriotic to that extent. If anybody has anything to say, he should say it in a way that he will be listened to and his grievances will be addressed.
“But if you think that by going to spray bullets on people, you are pursuing your own agenda and your own end and people should listen to you and in fact they should call you for discussion and some people are backing them and supporting them, it is an unpatriotic act.”
Jonathan also spoke about the danger of corruption which he described as an unpatriotic act.
He observed that corruption takes from both the rich and poor but does not give, just as it does not recognise selflessness that is key to patriotism.
“We call on all Nigerians to practice the act of patriotism. Corruption does not help us. It destroys us,” the president said.

I knew it!
Even Christian robbers in the South of Nigeria call themselves members of Boko Haram.
Lack of security is a grave problem in Nigeria.

NOTHING EVER SEEMS CLEAR IN NIGERIA AND WITH NIGERIANS.

You have to always look beyond appearance to really see what THE REALITY really is.

Very dubious, treacherous and conniving.

We all know that this is just a ploy by some in the North to make Nigeria ungovernable for GEJ. . .

The reason I would like all Southerners to move back to the South. Time to develop your own villages and cities in YOUR OWN HOME STATES. . . before chanting ONE NIGERIA! kiss

Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by efisher(m): 9:29am On Jan 10, 2012
Correction: This sect of boko haram did not carry out the attack. There are many different "boko harams". Besides, why should we believe the words of the murderous boko ram members? Why should we trust in their statement as though it's the gospel truth?
Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by DanKan0: 9:30am On Jan 10, 2012
@Lasinoh it could just as well be Southern Polticians as well as Northen or both. Analyse the situation.

People will rally behind GEJ even more making him more entrenched in power. Divie + Conquer = best way to rule.  cool

Boko haram please come out and dialogue or identify yourselves so that we can be able to know who are those behind this madness.State your objectives clearly and your rancor with the current situation.I urge Boko haram to renounce and make contact honestly with the people and not leaders because i don't trust all of them including GEJ himself. All this PDP people dey fear person. They will do anything to fulfill there agenda to hold power for 60years or zoning palaver.
Simply detail your actions and reach our to the people or a trusted NGO then government. Not withstanding i don't even know who to trust anymore.I hope BH is not pulling a fast one on us again.
Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by okunboy: 9:32am On Jan 10, 2012
We know there are factions in the Boko Haram. We have been presented with at least 3 spokespersons claiming to speak for your group. All of you are still Boko Haram. In whatever guise you come, u are still terrorists. Abu Qaqa factions claimed responsibilty for the UN house bombing in August last year, several innocent life (Nigerians) were wasted, yet you are behind the people. That is double standard, and we can not be fooled!
Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by DanKan0: 9:32am On Jan 10, 2012
@efisher

Obejectivty is the key. Why should we believe GEJ? Why does it always say 'suspected Boko Haram' where's the evidence? Analyse and you will see people being play like chess  cool
Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by NaMe4: 9:34am On Jan 10, 2012
This is the Simple Truth!
I'm happy the Sect has made efforts to clarify some issues here.
The 'BH' that has been killing Innocent Civilians and People in Places of Worship, are Political hijackers looking for any possible means to destabilize this Government and the Country.
Members of this criminal gang, you would be surprised, may even involve politicians from the Southern part of the Country.

@DanKan, why is Boko Haram faceless? There is clearly an agenda hence the "facelessness". Even AlQuaeda was not faceless. They showed their faces boldly in videos, etc. MEND etc were not faceless. The agenda was clear. If boko haram wants it's words taken seriously, let them start showing their face to us. Dumb cowards they are.

Tell me why they shouldn't deny and backpedal now that they've caused the loss of livelyhood of their own kinsmen? The whole north is on lockdown and they're losing badly. Those who sponsor them are beginning to think again and are under pressure. Why shouldn't they seek ways to wiggle out of the mess even if it means lying? Besides, whether they carried out the attack wit their own hands or not, the attacks have been inspired by them as a direct consequence of their actions.

By source I mean who is this Qaqa spokesman? How does he get in contact? Who is he contacting? Who is relaying the information to the news agency?

That's what I mean. People have their agendas when they write. For all we know there could be no Qaqa and its just a plain lie they claiming responsbilty for anything. Good chance its like that as well cool

I have known for years now that an Aboki man is the most dumb Nigerian that exist.
Your ''born to rule'' has ended and no more free money for Northerners and they want to turn Nigeria upside down.
Every Northerner is a Boko Haram member or supporter-To turn Nigeria to Muslim country.
Boko haram has been exiting in the North for over 50 years in the mind of Northerners thus the introduction of Sharia law in 1999 and yesterday they wanted Islamic bank and today Islamize Nigeria.
If you don't know where Boko Haram are from,I will simply ask to ask your Father,Mother,Uncle,Sister and Brother they will be able to tell how many of their friends are Boko Haram members and supporters
Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by Beaf: 9:55am On Jan 10, 2012
I pity gullible NLers, especially those openly supporting boko haram here. Shame on all of you.

Boko haram bombed the church and asked Christians to leave the North. Has Abul Qaqa been dumb all this time, especially with his previous claims to bombing churches? He is the boko haram spokesman that always speaks to the press.

What is the meaning of this unintelligent hook below?

He also said as untrue claims that they are going to attack protesters, saying it is false as they are in total support of the peoples’ struggle and behind the Nigerian people.

It is easy to see that the article is at the instance of the protest sponsoring politicians or importers. Whose struggle is boko haram behind? Mine? Tufia! angry

OF BOKO HARAM & THE GOVT

According to Mr. Ukiri, who is also the chairman of the
NBA Human Rights Committee, the removal of the
subsidy was wrong and untimely.  “The time the
terrorists group has taken grip of the nation, almost
making the security look like Boy Scouts, and you are
bringing the so called removal of fuel subsidy
coinciding with the security challenges.  It is not really
timely, and Nigerians should be wise.  The subsidy
removal and Boko Haram are deliberate.

I hope Gej and his paid e-thugs don't run up to the media and clear MEND's name, if truly it isn't the BH then it has 90% chance of being MEND's hand job.

So they've succeded in getting another foolish-enough-group to react and now have benefit of doubt whenever they decide to strike.

Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by Nobody: 10:03am On Jan 10, 2012
It was already clear that Boko Haram has been hijacked by their sympathizers and people in the corridors of power.  GEJ got this intelligence report and specifically said the people in government are involved in the Boko Haramic acts and within 72hrs Boko Haram denounces the church bombings. The die has been cast. With these announcement, the security operatives will spread their investigations. The end of Bombings is near.

Because that is what Boko Harm has made it about!!
Boko Haram speaks in the name of Islam and muslims don't speak out vehemently against it. Silence is a tacit form of support.
If there would be drones anywhere it would be in nNorthern Nigeria.

Now tell me, When Kaita and Atiku and the NPLF said they would make Nigeria ungovernable for Jonathan if he defied Zoning, what do you think they refered to??
