i'll have to rate them down in terms of entertainment. They are best for fast news reporting, fair and balanced reporting without fear or favour. I think AIT needs to wake up.

They deserve it, with all the LIVE news and current reporting.

The more reason why they should give way to young professionals like us. They are not making it easy for the upcoming acts.
We hope to clean up the mess they've created someday, somehow.
The success of a good movie relies on the script writer but even when the story goes well but directors bring in imattured artist to inteprete the films.
Some producers are now producing full movies in just 2weeks its already in the market.
The industry is also driven with money rather than the passion for the job. I was at one Nollywood Talent Hunt show recently, what i saw is a story for another day.

I hope to make a difference someday. Hold me by my word.

just came across this post on stumbleupon and i think you will like to read these set of mind blowing life lessons written by somebody who has had experience of this monster called Life. enjoy below!!!

45 Life Lessons, written by a 90 year old

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short not to enjoy it.

4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will.

5. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need.

6. You don’t have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.

7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.

8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for things that matter.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.

12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye… But don’t worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful. Clutter weighs you down in many ways.

18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It’s never too late to be happy. But it’s all up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words, ‘In five years, will this matter?’

27. Always choose Life.

28. Forgive but don’t forget.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give Time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.

35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d
grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have, not what you think you need.

42. The best is yet to come…

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.

All these things are common things we do everyday, you may want to stop now.
Ok take a careful look at the list below and help yourself out! Don’t do it.

Don’t eat too much: I’m sure you like your magnificent body shape, huh? when you eat too much your body becomes heavy and you feel kinda lazy. i know you love food but don’t do it.
Don’t Talk too much: yea, i know your mama would have told you from time that it’s damn wrong to talk too much. Even in Sunday school classes, we were told to let our ears hear fast, eyes see quickly and our mouth to talk last. Just learn to hold that word, you wouldn’t die if you let your mouth rest and allow your body be the keen observer.
Don’t Play too Much: OK, i know you need some time off. you probably have been working all week and need some rest, its good, but while relaxing, don’t over do it. A few minutes on the screen watching movies or cooling off with your favorite game is enough.
Don’t Chat too Much: this one is quite similar to the number two point above. I see some folks spend countless number of centuries hours on chat. If you are guilty and reading this, you may sound like, “hey!, WTF is this dude telling me, don’t i need to hang out with peeps on chat again?” of course you need to, but please give it a limit. for me i only come around chat rooms like three times a week to check out old peeps, that’s a fair one!.
Don’t multitask: I know there’s a bit of injustice in the 24 hour time we have in a day. maybe some few hours added to it would do, maybe 29 hours a day? but you can still manage your time. when you try to do two or more things at a time, the concentration would be lost and you’ll end up spending more time than required. just write what you want to get done down and follow them by priorities, finish the task and move to the next one. be disciplined, it pays. you can check one of my post related to time management.
Don’t Procrastinate: you are sitting there waiting for the perfect time to start that thing you’ve always wanted to do? and then you stay and wait, and keep waiting. days come and go, weeks come and go and even the month is coming to an end, you still have that thing in mind that you haven’t completed. you are waiting for the perfect time and the perfect thing to complete the list. sorry to burst your bubble, there’s never a perfect time for anything. start anyhow, do it anyhow.
I was working recently on a client’s website, i spent two productive days doing nothing, i was actually waiting for all the tools i needed, after realizing the time i’ve burnt, i finally pulled out the tools i already gathered, before i was done, the other tools came, it saved me time and proved efficient. so Act Now!!!.
Don’t Receive more than you give: don’t even try it, add some value to people’s life today. don’t keep receiving without giving. receive less, give more, that’s an essential tool to success. Don’t do it!.
Don’t complain: this is obviously one common thing to do as a human. the whole world is a beast, don’t complain, instead, find ways to cure the complains.
Don’t Keep to yourself: I once met a girl on my way to Delta state, we had a little chat and it didn’t take a long time before a smart guy like me to figure out how private she was. we later exchanged numbers for further communication just as every normal youth should do. On further chat, she told me she had no friends(why no friends). Don’t try keeping any pressing issues with yourself, find a best friend to talk to, some prefer their parents, either the mum or dad. but that depends on the level of parent to child relationship, anyhow it goes, just find someone you are comfortable with to always open up to. maybe someone offended you, don’t keep it inside and building anger that would eventually lead to hatred. speak up.
Don’t take Life too serious: I’m not saying you shouldn’t live consciously, but please stop worrying about tomorrow. In similar vain, don’t worry about the past, its over and gone. don’t judge yourself by the past, you don’t live there anymore. have a proper planning for the future but be flexible when things go wrong, allow yourself some space of fresh thinking. you need to work, you need to buy the latest gadgets and you are working so hard for the money. stop punishing yourself. work hard but don’t take life too serious. don’t do it.

well the list could go on and on but please, make do with this one and pick the ones you feel more comfortable with. it takes just five seconds to share with friends.

You may also wish to forgive my poor English, no be my language, na borrow we borrow am.

which other ones do you find so common to you and how were you able to solve this?, please share with us!

Nairaland / General / You Are Special (inspiring Article) by otigainspires(m): 5:26pm On Sep 19, 2012
A well-known speaker started off his seminar holding up a 1000 naira note. In the room of 300, he asked, “Who would like this?”. Hands started going up.

He said, “I am going to give this 1000 naira note to one of you but first, let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple up the 1000 naira note. He then asked,”Who still wants it…?” Still the hands went up in the air.

“Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air.

“My friends” said the pastor, “No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth 1000 naira”.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

You are special.
-Don’t EVER forget it.”

Literature / The 3 Smart Habits Of Highly Succesful People You Should Have by otigainspires(m): 5:46pm On Sep 04, 2012
Following my previous post on two important questions to ask yourself every day(on my blog), I have decided to come up with 3 smart habits of successful people as I have noticed over time from their personal life to the growth of their individual businesses.

The habits are numerous, but I have just decided to add up only 3 of the most important habits. Since habits makes a person and build ones character, it is only logical to imbibe and follow these habits everyday for maximum living and productivity.
Three (3) smart habits of Successful People

Early Wake up: Some people have for so long neglected the use of starting each day before the sunrise. Successful people in time history have proven effective with this secret of time management. Imagine the benefits of being up early at 5am to tidy up a few things, relax your brain before facing the day ahead. These small hours before everybody wakes up is a good time to reach an old friend (via email or text message), read that book you’ve always not had the time for. Entrepreneurs can also make use of this great time to reach out to business contacts, it’s bad to only call when you need help or need some business transactions to be made. It strengthens the bond of your working relationship and enriches your productivity, give it a try, it has proven effective for me as I had fought over it for weeks before coming to a constant wake up time of 5am each day.

Read each day, Never stop learning: Information is a vital tool for success. What distinguishes the successful individual from the less productive is Information. Read any good book you lay your hands on, no knowledge is wasted. Take time to read news (even if its headlines) concerning your country, area of expertise and personal development blogs to motivate and keep you focused. Nobody can be 100% focused so, read motivational books, articles that could help you grow in the positive direction. I recommend business books like: Rich Dad, poor dad, by Robert Kiyosaki or personal development books like The Seven habits of highly successful people by Stephen Covey. If you are the busy type, use the extra time carved out in Number one to read.

Be Best at what you do
: This last point is the most crucial part for any level of success that you want to attain. Look deep within you, find what you are best at and be the best at what you do. Look for books, Articles, websites that are relevant in your niche to help develop the needed skills to keep you updated. Competition is everywhere, stay updated, stay focused. I bet Bill Gates wouldn’t have been much relevant if he was not up-to-date with the demands of the modern day technology.

Please share more tips with us if you have any that should be added to the 3 aforementioned.

Literature / Two Kinds Of People You Should Runaway From by otigainspires(m): 5:10pm On Aug 29, 2012
“There are two kinds of people in the world…Those who make your life easier — and those who make it harder.”

below are the two kinds of people you should runaway from:

The Pessimistic: I greatly fear this class of people who sees impossibilities in a mere challenge, one of the great virtue of an optimist is to see a challenge and address it as an examination to a stronger height, Challenges are to make you or break you, you should aim for the latter, if you keep a pessimistic person as a friend, he/she tends to break that level of strength of possibilities in you, restrain from using words like, it can never happen, it is not possible, etc… use positive affirmations as it would help build your urge for overcoming difficulties and challenges.

The Purposeless: Another set of people that made it to my list of Two Kinds of people you should runaway from is the the purposeless, this set of people are the most deadliest kinds of friends you can ever keep, a purposeless man is without dream and future, back then in my secondary school days (high School), there were couple of friends class mates who loved and aspired to be like some of the other big boys students in school, they follow them anywhere they go, try as much as possible to dress same, talk and even walk like these set of so called big boys, these set of people not minding what is their schedule go out of their way to be associated with them, a purposeful person knows what he/she wants and stands on the path they’ve chosen for their destiny.

CONCLUSION: Be Careful of those you associate yourself with, if you must make friends, make it with the right kinds of people, Dirty minds corrupts clean minds and so do dull destinies corrupt great destinies.

Any addition to the list is welcomed. :-)
