Thank you @duchess90. The program is a 2 year diploma with option of either day or night(For student who intend to work) It's not a full time program. Qualifications is AMI Diploma. Concerning the IELTS, I did speak with the admin but he insisted that with IELTS they won't be able to sponsor the visa. Can I Dm you for further details please? duchess90: Hello,
Few questions what level of qualifications is stated in your offer?
Is this a part time course or full time? Are you aware part time visa holders are not eligible to work?
Visa eligibility also has alot to do with the level of course.
With regards to September,I think you should still be within the time frame if you get things sorted soon but these questions are key if you have the answers
Also alot of people have mentioned their WAEC certificate was sufficient and they didn't need to write IELTS,but you need to clarify with your school
Cheers

Good day everyone. Thank you all for your contribution on this thread.
I'm new here and would need clarifications on some issues. First my program is a 2-year diploma night course. I purposely choose the night option so as to be able to work during the day. I have a provisional offer from the institute, which I have accepted though I am yet to make the fee deposit and write IELTS. My program start date is September 2022. I'm apprehensive that I am starting the application a bit late, following information gathered here concerning wait times for TB screening and other requirements. My question now is if I start application now, will I meet up with September start date? Secondly, can I book a date for the TB without having started an application. At this point what's the first thing I should do? Write IELTS or start the application? |

You had better stay with Access and pick up the dividend they will likely offer. I doubt if Ucap will rise beyond N15. Patience is needed please. Even if it's one naira I made on Ucap It's still appreciable with the dividend than Access that I don't know when they are planned to release their result or how much they'll pay in dividend. |

Experts in the House! I need your advice, I have a little over fifty thousand units of Access bank which I got @ 9.30 I am thinking of selling off to get Ucap for dividend and possible appreciation. What do you advice or do I still hold Access till result is released? And If the Ucap train isn't feasible at this time, kindly recommend a good stock for capital appreciation for short term. Thank you. |

UmmZayd: I just want to quickly say something. Please schedule mock interviews with your friends before you go for your interview. I know everyone wants to keep to themselves about leaving the country but have two or three sessions with your families or friends before you appear infront of the VO. It helps you to prepare. Summer and Fall 2022 students are already getting approval. Don't mismanage your opportunities.
Best of luck to everyone and congratulations to those that got approval today. Is it for EA or regular cos the date appearing is October |

My brother, dem plenty especially in the real estate sector. Shaw Communication(SJR) and Neuberger Berman Real Estate(NRO) has never failed me. Sometime SJR sometimes pays dividend twice a month. Another one is Suncor Energy(SU) but this one pays bi-monthly. Do your due diligence before you buy any stock on NYSE or else na premium tears when the business fails or bankruptcy happen. These stocks you mentioned are they listed in NYSE? |

Travel / Re: Should I Move To The UK Or Return To Nigeria? by Pamelayoung: 2:48pm On Jan 01, 2022 |
ShyWhale: I am a Nigerian in Germany with a German Masters degree. It's quite difficult to get professional jobs in Germany as an African as we are usually the last of the pack. The only luck I ever had was to get internships, internships that takes several months to get and usually only for short periods. The high percentage of Africans even with German Phds doing menial jobs is highly discouraging and depressing. Most are trapped in the race for survival and I can't imagine myself living life like them. I feel I could do better with my skills and education that spreads across Europe's top countries.
I made the decision to return to Nigeria, harness my skills and start up a processing company. At 25 and the sole breadwinner of an extended family, they are asking me to stay put, saying that the Nigerian environment is not good for business (I feel they are only scared of losing out on the goodies they get from me).
Also last year, the family introduced me to a female in the UK, talking about marriage to her. The said lady is a Nigerian within my age range, but born and raised in the UK. Though I have been to the UK severally to see her, I have made no commitments whatsoever as she is not the kind of lady I would marry all things being equal. She and the family have however given me a ultimatum to decide now.
What do you advice?
Why not come to Nigeria do a survey of the business and possibly startup as a side gig and see how it goes whilst retaining your German job. Bad as Nigeria may seem there are still people doing business and making it big here. 1 Like |

I like where the HRGuy said "in my admittedly biased" opinion. That's because there is no right or recommended answer to your request for advice, all you're going to get are opinions.
I have 3 children, and I also looked after my children when we first arrived and I hadn't gotten a day job. No biggie, I still do it. However, if I have one child like you do, I will put her in [affordable] daycare right away and take any day job that pays enough to cover the costs and leave me with something. I did not enjoy sitting at home during the winter months with 3 children, separating fights and getting homework done, only coming out in the evening when it was already dark to march off to a night job which I did not enjoy. I was unable to get anything much done in the day time or even get to know the new city I was living in, because marching 3 children around to the city to explore was definitely not something I had much energy for.
Again, our Nigerian women dey try in many ways, and I'm no sexist bigot, but do not leave your madam as the sole reasonable earner for any length of time.
They will soon come for my head, so make I tune out first. Matching 3 children to explore the city cracked me up but you had the energy to born them. |
