The question every tech advocate keeps asking each year....

Instead of you to hustle more so that you can be able to afford an iPhone that isn’t sold for N60k(Face ID technology), you are out here disgracing your blood line that Samsung makes more secure phones than Apple.

Cheapskates!
if you're too broke to buy a good phone. It's your own L. Of course Samsung will never catch up in being uninteresting and boring

60k iPhones were made 6 years ago. If that’s your kind of thing, jog on.

But your face unlock can open with a mask, right? Who’s going to tell you the technology on your iPhone is archaic, I gave you a simple task and you have failed at it.

Find any article that says Samsung phones are more secure than iPhones. It’s a simple task instead of ranting like a baboon on heat.

You've already failed the primary task of being reasonable.

Your L is not Soo heavy. You can carry it, trust me.

Iris scanner is a shit technology.

It’s slower than Face ID
You have to focus your iris to be scanned
Wearing contact lens or sunglasses affect the process.

FaceID has no such issues.

Says the slowpoke that opined Samsung’s screen quality is why they don’t have 3D facial technology feature on their crap devices.

Why don’t you just admit you are a bit slow when it comes to cutting edge technology?

This is what "slow" means.

"A NOTCH IN 2021"

And yes it's no news that Samsung makes the best screens in the market. If you're too pained, end your life!

God forbid stupid phones like apple who still use 60fps in 2021, with hideous looking notches that cuts the screen in half.

Don't worry apple engineers are still studying very hard so that they'll finally be able to make hole punch phones, or even foldable phones with high refresh rate (maybe in the year 2040)

I don't know which one is more hopeless, Apple's lack of innovation OR your distance from wisdom.

The notch is because of 3D technology.

Samsung could never. Almost 4 years after Apple launched Face ID, Samsung are still in the mud on how to get a 3D TrueDepth camera. It’s not about making noise.

Their legacy is as horrible as your thinking faculty.

No one gives a shit about foldable phones. Nokia already did that many moons ago. 3D True Depth cannot work with punch hole cameras. The technology is far too advanced than the pin hole camera on Samsung phones.

The notch isn’t aesthetics. There’s a reason it’s there.

There's no reason for a notch.

Cos the notch is housing a technology that is gimmicky and not as effective as "touch ID".

It’s like you are retardēd.

Apple had Touch ID before dumping it for Face ID. Touch ID is an archaic technology. Many phones were breached by suspecting spouses by putting the finger tip of their sleeping partners on the touch pad.

Apple dumped it for the more secure Face ID. If you are still shouting about Touch ID that was on iPhones as far back as September 2013 then you need to go back to school.

Are you asking me?

Phone companies without 3D facial technology copied the notch cos they thought it was just there for aesthetics.

They realized a year later that if they weren’t providing 3D facial technology, there was no reason to put a notch there - so they stuck to the old & archaic Touch ID that Motorola first put on Atrix in 2011.

Hahahaha or perhaps Samsung and the other crappy Android phones have no access to TruDepth cameras.

They have no access to the cutting edge dot projector that throws over 30,000 dots onto the user's face, which are then captured by an infrared camera.

They have no answer to ensure the system operates properly in the dark with a flood illuminator that adds more infrared light when needed.

This is cutting edge technology that is well above what Samsung and co can even muster. Security is why Apple phones are best sellers, not fanciful 120 fps or exploding batteries.

It’s not too late for you to jump ship. cheesy

How can it be shit when it's more secure than face id?
It works with sunglasses so long as you registered your iris with them. It can't be fooled by a twin or someone who looks like you like face id can. It works very well in low light and can't work if your eyes are closed

Also Samsung used iris scanner and 2D face recognition before apple brought face id and sammy has dumped it to go for indisplay fingerprints. Wait until apple drops face id and goes for indisplay fingerprint and calls it "INNOVATION " lmao. Apple is mostly living in past glory. It's now slow in the smartphone game

Bringing 5G almost 2 years after others
Still on 60hz
Low res camera and poor optical zoom capabilities
Face id/notch from 2017
They started using oled panels in 2017. Samsung started it about a decade ago
Lightning port

When the first iPhone was launched, it was said to be 5 years ahead of it's time. Today snapdragon chips/kirin chips have caught up the competition. Android OS that used to be shitty have caught up and IMO surpassed iOS.
They have been dethroned in computational photography by Samsung and later Google.

This is laughable.

Apple controls its software & hardware making their products seamlessly gel together without issues.

Samsung phones are Samsung hardware but the software isn’t theirs & this is why other phones lag seriously behind Apple phones.

You said you use S8+. I can bet the software that came with your phone when you bought is still the same software you are using on it. There hasn’t been any update yet because if Samsung provides the latest update, you would be unwilling to buy the latest version of their phone(evil business strategy).

Apple phones don’t have such issues. Your phone came with Android 7.0 operating system when it was released. The latest operating system on Androids right now is Android 11.0 that was released in September last year. The adoption rate is still about 20%. grin cheesy

Meanwhile, iOS 14 that was released around the same time last year had about 81% adoption rate as at December last year. There are no restrictions on old iPhones to adopt latest operating system in the Apple world. That’s the major difference between iOS & Android.

So when you say stuff like Android has caught up or surpassed iOS, the whole world laughs at you.

It seems you're in 2014
If anything, I'm more impressed that android who don't control their hardware and software at the same time is in the same league with apple products. It's a shame that despite having all the app/system optimization, apple isn't clear. It is still struggling with high end android devices.

Speaking about lag? I guess you used a budget android phone or a 2015 android phone because many high android phones don't experience any form of lag. Try using a oneplus or Google device then come back here to modify your comment.

Updates? Few things to note:
1. Galaxy s8 launched with android 7 and officially stopped update at android 9 so there were 2 major update. It'll keep recieving security update.
2. Also there are lots of custom roms for it so it may keep getting major update till next decade. This is not the case with apple. iPhone 6s will not receive ios updates anymore whereas it's competitor the galaxy s7 will keep recieving updates.
3. Apple claims to be generous by giving 5 years updates but in return, they slow down their phones and degrade battery life so users can purchase the new iPhone. Whose doing evil business now?
4. One android update will give features that 4 ios update will give you.
5. Samsung doesn't control how they release updates. Qualcomm does that. They have to come to an agreement on how many updates are released 3 and im sure no android manufacturer gives more than 3 updates. Samsung also gives 3 years update now.

You know what's funny? Even without official updates, my s8+ with android 9(yet to get custom rom) is faster than it's apple competitor the iPhone 7. The iPhone only has better ram management because of it's optimization.

If you think 2 years short of updates makes the difference between iPhone and android, you're clearly mistaken. The general features of the operating system makes the difference not just updates.

No one would laugh if i said that except apple die-hards like you. Seriously android has caught up.
Years ago the iPhone would trash any other phone in anything but today they have been beat in many areas.
The only place they hold the crown is their app optimization, video recording, 2 years+ updates and hype (especially in Nigeria and majorly due to most Nigerians being tech illiterates)

When it comes to best display

Best camera for computational photography

One must be a tech illiterate to say 2 years isn’t a big difference in software updates. What if there’s a security breach or a bug in the existing software, you mean you would wait 2 years before your operating system does something about it?

Do you know how laughable your assertion is? grin Consumers who value security and data privacy would certainly prefer iOS ecosystem than any android shit. If Samsung really wants to compete with Apple, they need their own operating system. They can never ever even be mentioned in the same breath as Apple while using Android to power their devices.

Only illiterates compare the two. They are not peers.

Android have low adoption rates - its a shit system. No developer even wants to develop apps for Androids cos Android users are too poor to spend on in-app purchases.

Clubhouse app has been on iOS for like a year and there’s none yet on Androids. No serious developer gives a shit about Androids. Android fragmentation is such a big problem that no developer writing codes for sensible apps wants to dive into.
