To be fair, Fergie got the club to where it is today, but almost throughout his time, we were never the best in Europe. The attractiveness of the EPL made Man Utd the most popular football club in the world. Fergie mastered the league and dealt with the likes of Wenger, but when new/fresh blood came on board, it was tough for him to adjust. Wait, even before they came on board, we could not dominate Europe.

Winning 2 UCLs in close to 3 decades no make sense at all.

We can stick with OGS, but no one should tell me that the current trend (from 6th to 3rd to 2nd to ?) will be maintained/sustained. No be mathematics be this. Also, maybe, we will win the league before 2026/2027, but we should not expect a UCL win, especially since baba wants to adopt Fergie's style.

But the way that moniker repeats the term 'tactical acumen', I doubt if he is the one. Coogar would have used an alternative word/term since. Except may be he is now rusty.

I love De Gea but I think many of his spectacular saves have come in phases of play where VDS would have dealt with the danger earlier by asserting themselves through better positioning, physicality and readings of the game.

Never saw VDS commit a single goal-leading mistake in a decade let alone multiple in a single season.
