It is a joke to choose Saka to play a penalty over Jack Grealish. Like how?

Is Jack Grealish a good penalty taker?

How won't they concede only two goals when they were set up like scared putty cats? So distasteful.
atleast the tactics helped them reach the final. you are talking as if italy is not a top team with more experienced and equally quality players too.

The Plain truth is that with the kind of stars England has, their game should be far better than this. Nobody has world class players as much as England.

The stars are too much but none play. Like how one of the best Key passers in World football like Grealish gets to gum the bench repeatedly.

No set up to get the team firing on all cylinders.

It is just pathetic.

England has better offensive players than Italy. Southgate was just terrible with them.

Meanwhile England is ranked higher than Croatia and Germany.
kane, walker, stones, sterling, and maybe rashford can qualify as world class players. the rest of them are super hyped by the english media. meanwhile germany and croatia are both top ranked teams on FIFA ranking.

Then add the qualities of Foden, Sancho, Grealish, Jude Bellingham, Calvert Lewin, Rashford.

England is over classed with high rated players to play such dross football.

I don’t like England ,no thanks to their media

But trust me the English team is good and they really impressed everyone

They will be a favorite for the next World Cup also
They will b among the favorites ,but they won't pass Q/finals.

Let me repeat. England has better offensive talents than Italy and with a decent tactician, they would outplay Italy hands down.

If Enrique was coaching these English talents, they would have attacked Italy and caused the Italians lots of problems.

Sometimes, Roy Keane can be annoying. Did he not watch when Southgate wrote the list of penalty takers on his pad? How can he blame Grealish and Sterling for not stepping up to take penalties?

It is all on Southgate.

I disagree. Belotti put in fantastic shifts for Italy when he played for them. He was also good today.

God bless you. He missed a PK and people with warped soccer minds went to town on him.

A lot of fights have broken out in several cities in England due to their loss, plus reports of racial abuse against the 3 players that missed their penalty kicks, their fans can never change

Southgate is a draw back to English football. Many will get carried away with him getting to finals but he coached that team terribly and it showed in this final game.

The English team could hardly string passes. He opted for a defensive set up after the equalizer.

He is lost with handling creative players like Grealish, Foden, Rashford, Bellingham, Sancho etc.

I hope he leaves that Job soon.

Congratulations to Italy, especially Mancini. He is such a winner and has done a brilliant job with the Italian side.
I think they are about to extend his contract to 2026

True. The way England was playing to get to penalties, I even thought they would smash through the penalties. Only for them to disgrace themselves.

This is a last kick. Even Messi avoids it. This shows how nerve racking it can be.

cool

Nice choices but Graham Potter of Brighton would be mouth watering to handle these English talent.

Another coach I feel would do a good job is the current Swansea boss, Steve Cooper. He was the U17 coach that won the U17 World Cup for England with Foden, Sancho and Odoi in the squad.

The Belgian side I saw last night will go far in the tournament
My pick to win this euro are the Italian. They have something going for them

Just as predicted
Congratulations to The Azzurris
They are a deserved champion
I think CAF should deeply look at the prospect of a Nations league
