Ok
IamAsiri:

It's Black Soldier Fly larvae sir. You can feed your chicks with larvae from Black soldier fly or use the larvae as a source of protein, thereby eliminating soya beans for now. It's just my thought but you can google and research more about it.

It's also very easy for you to set up yourself.

That should point to diarrhoea/dysentry. What feed/drugs are you administering now?

Feeds: Hybrid Super Starter
Drugs: Just water for now (Lasota was administered on day 10 though)

From experience, things that can cause watery stool at a tender age include
1. Too much heat in brooder
2. Feed. If the protein content is too high or bad feed or poorly formulated feed or bad batxh
3. Diarrhea, Onset of coccidiosis or cholera due to bad liter management or hygiene or even disease from hatchery.

An anticocci/antibiotics like vitacox should do the work. If using organic, I have no idea.

Sometimes excess vitamin can cause it , if ur birds are still on broad heat u may try and reduce the heat intensity and if u have another feed option I would have suggested you switch and see if u will notice any difference am not saying your feed is bad but if the protein content is too much for the birds it can lead to wet liter

Hello here, it's been long since I last check this thread. Hope all my ogas are doing good.
It's time to buy my December broiler, but I will just buy 30 to the 12 I bought from women Hawking in the street, I can't keep more than 45 due to high cost of feeding. Then I will have to base then purely on organic drugs and herbs. Herb has really help me a lot for the past few months, though I don't keep more than 80 birds, noiler, broilers, and local turkey. But I have never lost anyone since I started using herb unlike when I was wasting money on drugs, lasota, gumboro, etc.
New hope professional starter is now #8,000 here.

I found the culprit. It was neither the feeds nor heat. After much observations and careful analysis of the situation which was making changing of the litter like every day, I realised that my woodshavings was the thing causing the wet litter. The shaves was gotten from a wet wood which wasn't dried and was decomposing. Getting rid of that batch of wood shavings solved the whole wet saga.

Lucky you next time pls be extra watchful wet wood shavings can trigger CRD and may never go even after some many treatment

Good luck

Lost one this afternoon. I went out and when I came back, was informed it was found lying on its side in a corner and had its eyes shut but was breathing. It later gave up the ghost. cry

Thanks. So, today being the 8th day of their arrival, they had lasota with milk to wash it down.
After about 1hour, the combo was replaced with multivitamins and antibiotics.
Population: 50
Three foreign Turkeys I got are three weeks old today. They are co-habiting with a broiler from an egg I took to a Hatchery. It came out on July 21

Has anyone experience with nipple drinkers for chicken? I intend going for it to minimise water wastage and wet litter wahala. Wet litter problem nearly messed up my first trial at poultry farming.

Nipple drinkers is very excellent for chicks , it reduces water wastage , contamination , better water distribution among birds and provides constant water supply when needed by the birds.
If u can afford it then go it
Good luck
