This journey to japa started since 2017. We started with Canada express entry. We did everything required and entered the pool not knowing that being in the pool is not a guarantee of being picked. When we realised it could take eternity to be picked from the pool we decided to try the student route yet I got refused 3 times . That was how I gave up and decided to begin further studies here in 9ja first. However, I realized I was guiding and helping my friends and colleagues to move out of the country while I still remained in 9ja. I wasn’t bothered initially, but the situation of the country coupled with the spate of insecurity made us to rethink our future, especially because of our children.
Finally we decided to go through the UK student route...to cut long story short God came through for us, the whole process was seamless , where it seems it was going to be difficult, God showed forth and made it easy.

Family of 5 all submitted at the same time

Date of Biometrics : August 17th. We had appointment for one and paid for walk in for the remaining 4
Visa type: Paid for priority for main applicant and standard for others

Centre: Ikeja TLS

Collection Email: 26th August

School: Sheffield Hallam University

Passport picked up 27th Aug.for main applicant, my husband and one of my children. Got a non straight forward mail for one of the kids and to also resend her TB certificate few days after biometrics. Awaiting collection mail for the remaining two.

My appreciation especially to all who take their time to respond to questions in the group. I have been a silent reader but gathered enough information that helped me through this process. No agent was used .

We move to the next level and pray we all get our congratulations soon too�����������

How long is the course of the person she is depending on for? If its less than one year then definitely she will not be granted permission to work.

Another scenario is if you are joining your spouse and he/she has under a year LEFT on his/her Visa/ BRP before you decide to go into the UK, you will not be permitted to work.

The course is however 18 months and both the main applicant and dependant applied for visa together. Infact, the main applicant just got collection mail, while the dependant already got her visa.

With that Visa, will she be able to work in the UK? Or does she have to return it? If yes, to where? She did her biometrics in Abuja.

Please I got my CAS yesterday from Sheffield Hallam but I noticed that my Bsc certificate had 2020/1 academic year as my year of graduation instead of the correct date of 2015/16. Aside this, every other information in the CAS is correct.

Is this something I should be worried about?and contact the school for correction? or I should go ahead and apply for visa with it that way. Urgent plz. Thanks

I don't think you're right.
If you read closely, it says vaccinated under the UK vaccination scheme. So, if you got your 2 shots in the UK, you don't need to quarantine. But if you didn't, just buy your day 2 and day 8 tests jejely.
