I edited some typos that I had in that post, I thought you just wanted to know the Voc of a 400w and I gave you Voc of a 390w so you can use that to plan.... If you are planning to run 3s with that on a 100V CC then the CC will be gone for bad

I believe 2s will be best for the 400watt panel given that the VoC approaches 40.8volts. That makes 81.6v A 30v headroom for the MPPT to charge a 48v system isn't bad.

An MPPT SCC will provide you with user/editable configurations that will enable you to charge your 3s config.

But if you wish to stick with PWM, there are PWM SCC with selectable series configurations that will fit into your profile. These settings are 3s, 4s, and 7s, both for 18650s and LFPs.

I didn't check the voltage measurement on the CC, I used a multimeter to check the voltage at the solar panels terminals and 2s connection gave 68v (approximately 34V/panel as against the max VOC of 37.9V stated by the manufacturer) while open circuit on cloudy day.

Its a cheap cc, if it fails the test.we would have gained knowledge as a community�, and you use the oppurtunity to upgrade to another cheap ass cc..powmr that has VOC of 150v @ 48v setup.

How accurate is the voltage reading of the cc?. It might be off by a few point + margin of error. Extra 5v shudnt fry it

How close is the 34v to the actual nameplate rating? If it's same then you can go ahead else I expect nameplate rating will be more than 34v so don't try it unless you don't mind lossing the CC.

MY 3S 36Voc panels drop to about 80v when working in bright sunlight.. the danger period is early morning, clear skies..lil sun..i hv seen it hit 100v then.....

it cud work for a while....b4 it fires the cc, not worth it..best to swap with someone who has the cheap powmr cc, or buy a new powmr cc..and keep the fang as spare.

Is it niyiomolade or someone else, that posted a workaround logging device for CC that dont have logging capability?, Or is it on another forum..am sure such a device would be existing, as such exists for AC side
