There're families that will disgrace you, like they give you list and still pay for most of the items. Believe me, guys don't always like it. Depending on your pride level tho. I don't like it either.

Two persons marry from same family, one budgets 300k and the other 2.5m. First daughter effect is negligible. I repeat depends on your pride level.

For my family (groom's family), if the items no gather full ground small with at least 2 local goats, Campari for opening talks (bride's dad drinks or not) and quality linens for the bride's parents with kitchen support, my people will support you if not, it'll look shameful.
