Actually, Caucasians have superstitions. Americans believe that walking under a ladder is bad luck, that if you break a mirror, you will have seven years of bad luck, if a black cat crosses your path, same thing and if you step on a crack on the sidewalk, you will break your mother's back. I even forgot this one. I've listed a few American superstitious beliefs as well.

It was one of the frustrating issues I had with my mum growing up.

If I whistled in the morning she would shout at me and tell me its too early in the day to whistle.

If I whistled in the afternoon she would yell at me, saying cant I see that it is sunny.

Then if I whistled at night she would shout yet again saying cant I see it is dark.

Then one day I confronted her stating the morning, afternoon and evening scenarios and asking her what time if the day I can then whistle.

She looked at me, looked away without saying anything. I got the message and as I good boy I stopped whistling. I am of age now and cannot

whistle.
