This judgement is null and void. Must every female officer get married? The judge who made this pronouncement is very pyrochial because they did not spell out the kind of marriage. In the police force, you have police marriage and in the society we have court marriage, church or Islamic marriage and traditional. So which of the marriages are they talking about here? 1 Like |

Bahamas95: It is always wrong because it is the woman bears the brunt but the male pal is a saint. It will surprise you to find out that the judge that delivered this judgement could be a bastard. |

MALIGNANTGuest: The law says no maternity leave/and pay for unmarried women. The law does not have to be rational. But it helps to obey it. Very simple!!! |

Decency2020: The judge ruled based on proof. It is not the judge's fault. The police argued based on a subsection of its law where it is stated that unmarried women who get pregnant will be dismissed. Every organization has its own set of rules and regulations. There are some units of the United States Army where you are not allowed to marry for a period of time. If you get married, and get dismissed, you will have no one to blame but yourself. |

FireUpNow: So, they should spell out the type of unmarriage The word unmarried is clear enough. Very unambiguous. Unmarried means not married Married means married, whether civilly or otherwise. And that is not what is being debated here. |

BluntTheApostle: The Law is Always Reasonable (Rationality and Reasonability is not always the same) but is your unlawful man made laws that is and can be unreasonable, unjust and unfair all in the same vein. And I bet you never heard of this principle of Law "Unjust Laws are No Laws and should not be obeyed" Lex iniusta non est lex |

BluntTheApostle: Does the Nigerian People suffer from a policewoman getting pregnant (for the police are simply a collection of Nigerians who have offered themselves to take of the good well being of the Nigerian populace) Answer: No. Therefore, the police have no "just is" to be obtained but a Nigerian has been unjustly and unlawfully injured by deprivation. That is a wrong requiring "just is"! |

The judge may have ruled on the law as it is written. File another case saying that this law is discriminatory, like the law that disenfranchises women in certain ethnic groups. |

BluntTheApostle: Simple: Any Law which permits and condones the doing of a wrong! The Law does No Wrong, IS THE LAW! AND NEITHER DOES IT PERMIT THE DOING OF A WRONG! It is Man Made or Remade laws which permit the doing of wrongs. AND THE MAKING OF LAW BY MAN IS UNLAWFUL. MAN IS ONLY PERMITTED BY LAW TO MAKE "AGREEMENTS" BUT THEY HAVE NO POWER AND RIGHT TO MAKE LAWS. NO MAN HAS THE JURISDICTION TO MAKES LAW! |

Re: Police Can Sack Female Officers Who Get Pregnant Out-Of-Wedlock - High Court by BluntTheApostle(m): 6:01pm On Feb 21, 2022 |
Dtruthspeaker: Yes. The Nigerian people suffer for every policewoman that gets pregnant. For one thing, we may suffer for her reduced efficiency. Therefore, the police have no "just is" to be obtained but a Nigerian has been unjustly and unlawfully injured by deprivation. She knew that she was not supposed to get pregnant out of wedlock. So, it is not a wrong. |

This is Dumb ! How about the dude who did the deed. Or were all the women, The Virgin Mary ? Why not have the law against the men who have children out of wedlock ? Aren't the women already "punished" having to carry the child for 9 months plus nursing the baby and in addition as single parents ? This is a simple case of tying a person's hand behind their back and telling her to swim to shore SMH |
