grin I laff in Spanish,
Who gave u d data? MTN
Who is consuming it for u? MTN
Who is supplying the internet to u? MTN
So why will u be asking MTN again how much data u have spent this morning?
U no Sabi do Audit or Independent investigation?
If u can buy MTN data and check the real worth of the data on Verizon then u can confirm the real worth of 5GB that MTN is giving to u.
It's like buying garri with a rigged cup and turning d garri back into the same cup to check if it is complete or not.
Better still download a movie or app of known size without doing any other thing online and check how much data has been subtracted from ur data balance.
What makes u think what they do to airtime they can't do to data too.

Pearl you sabi argue sha.

It's obvious you don't know your app data consumption tallies with your depleted data from your subscription.

Good afternoon my people, i've 2 questions to ask:
Is Honda civic good for Uber/ehailing business? If it is, which model/yr is best? Or which affordable car would u recommend?
Secondly, i took Bolt some days ago, from cms/marina to igando, spent over 3hrs on d rd, bad traffic. Arrived home only to find i was charged 15,300! Meanwhile, d estimate on d app b4 d trip was 7-8k. Is there anything i can do? sent a message on d app, no response.

One thing u should know is not all 1.8litre engines consume d same amount of fuel.
In the same vein not all 3.5litre engines consume the same amount of fuel.
Some 3.5litre engines can conserve fuel better than some 3.0litre engines.
So don't judge by the size of the piston and block but by the rating, technology and add-ons in the car that may make it more fuel efficient.

You just stated one of the reasons why my MB 1.8L 2003 conserve fuel than even yiur Corolla 1.8/2.0L 2006/2010 grin

And yes You're right but that shouldn't make one use such cars like that for taxi especially in Nigeria. Had it been in develop world like Dubai, UK and in the US where there is more value for services rendered and good roads then its fine. But in Lagos Nigeria where even the mile 12 and ladipo women and men would want to use the car for farm products deliveries it's a no no

Don't just analyse things base on hypothesis and paper works.

Have you used a V6 3.0L engine car b4?

My 1st car was a V6 3.0L and no went further to rent about 3 Corolla, a civic, 2 other Camry V6 3.0L and another Corolla and also a Camry 2.4L 4cyls.

So what experience do you have that you can use to counter my claims and verse experience of usage.

Yes you may have more numbers of years of experience than I but how many cars did you used for ehailing b4 hanging boot?

Mind you I talk not just from experience but also with records. I've records of my fueling histories while i was using all of these cars so b4 you counter my claim first go use a 2.4L then a 3.0L and then a 3.5L engine for ehailing then return back and edit your post.

This is me dishing out vawulence academically

There's nothing you'll tell me about a V6 vehicle that I don't know. I have used a v6 vehicle all my life bar the short period on bolt. I even have a vehicle with a 3.7l V6 on the sea coming into the country. The fuel consumption is usually over exaggerated.

Check the image attached to this post, it was taken from a vehicle with a 3.2L V6 engine and has a premium fuel requirement

Average of 15MPG over 176 miles. Fuel used is 176/15 which is 11.73 gallons or 44 litres. Cost of 44 litres is N7,200

My Corolla would do 21MPG over the same distance. Fuel used is 8.38 gallons or 31 litres. Cost of 31 litres is N5,234

Difference in cost of fuel between Almighty Corolla and a V6 vehicle is N2000 naira for every 176 miles/281kms covered. This is telling us that the maximum difference in cost of fuel between someone that uses a Corolla and another that uses a V6 vehicle in a day is N2000 naira.

Is N2000 naira extra cost of fuel the reason he won't make profit? What exactly is your point?

People use V6 Camry for Bolt and they obviously make profit. The Camry and Lexus ES350 share the same mechanical parts. Cost of maintenance and cost of fuelling is more or less the same.

Be like na the name Lexus dey confuse you. Like I said, if the guy is driving his own vehicle, it's a good enough tool for the job and he will make money. Stop discouraging him.

U don't still get it
Your phone got this information from ur Mobile carrier. It's still MTN that informed ur phone if this consumption.

Like I said, note your data balance, then Download an App, a document or a movie with known size then check ur data balance again.
I argue rationally with facts and figures.

Boss it doesn't work that way. Android phones measure data used by the smart phone independent of the Internet service provider. The OS even goes as far as showing you what apps consume the most data and offers you an option to regulate data.

Sometimes it seems like even if you download something of say 50mb, and check your data balance immediately you find that it's actually more than 50mb used.
This is because your phone is a smartphone. Your phone is always using data in the background even without your knowledge. The more apps on your phone, the more background data will be used.

Additionally, if you use social media apps like Facebook or Instagram your data depletion will be faster, because they usually preload pictures and videos before you enter the app for seamless engagement.

See my data usage for last month and this month.

The smartphone data-metre usually informs you that your network-carrier's accounting might be different from their own, as per data usage. If you paid enough attention instead of blind arguments you'd have noticed this.

Per your second point, usage doesn't reflect immediately. There is usually a time lapse before your consumption is reflected on the balance statement. Bottomline is that MTN, Airtel & co are fraudulent (typicallly Nigerian) in these things. The regulators are most likely being paid to look the other way. You can continue to argue tho since you enjoy that so much, apparently

Go ahead, it's your car.
[b[But avoid short trips,[/b] they are fuel and time wasters. Also if the road is free maintain 80km/hr speed, if u fly na so ur fuel go dey fly cos of your type of car.
Like yesterday morning wey I spent like almost 2 hours at lekki, na only short-short trips I was getting. It was like they all planned it, all the trips (4) ended 1k each at the end. sad
Abeg na how person go want avoid these ones ? Order came in, you have to accept then go and pick the rider.
Na how person go take avoid this?
Much respect, boss.

Guys am particularly angry with the bot guy I met at their office yesterday. The guy was to do inspection on my car (1,200) Only for him to finish and when I was about paying him, he said everything would be 2500. When I enquire on how it's now higher, he claimed it's additional 1300 for the online registration he was doing. I just felt very angry coz I don't know how he wouldn't just send me the link for me to do the registration myself. Anyway sha, the registration is not complete yet coz he realised my papers were expired which I will have to renew today. Is that how they operate??

But this completion rate is poor sha...very very poor. Less than 10%.
You sef put yourself in the shoes of all these people u keep accepting their trips when u know u aren't going to complete the trip.
Sometimes don't pick the order if u know u aren't going to fulfil the trip. Try and mix it up
