Penguin2: Let’s be honest Nigeria won’t give Obi ticket ... even if he decamps to another party Obi need a leverage to be accepted nation wide especially in the core North Nigeria no begin and end in igboland just as e no begin and end in yorubaland You southerners always make elections like say Na only Una Dey vote and decide .. forgetting the mainstream, National that involves over 400 hundred ethnicities .. over 250 of them in the North .. with large voting population. That decides Nigerian presidential votes ... even if Na rig votes .. all party rigs .. Nigeria President must be a widely accepted candinate .. For get emotions and sentiments .. Obi was never interested in presidency but was pushed in for a project .. by same people Una Dey abuse upandan Politcs is boy on nairaland .. nairaland Na assumptions dreams and hallucinations.. Get down to reality and understand Nigeria politics Tinubu spend 95% of his campaign in the North That’s a serious politician .. and still might not get Gej was a vice before, then acting .. them constested in the office of President.. he can’t lose .. that’s why he won.. Ohaneze statement that igbos should not accept Vice is igbos shooting themselves How Ohaneze wan take manufacture votes in the north and south that will give igboman President ? Igbos don’t vote ..or you think Nigerian politcs is based on sentiment ? You people will refer to 99’ Forgetting the history that threw up 98/99’ settings The thing is that igbos are bussiness people and not politicians And they don’t think like politician , the ones that understands Nigeria politics are called sabos.. and Hausa made .. Nigeria no begin and end in igboland .. is a very big country.. And many ethnicities have reservations on igbos And daily igbos keep proving them right .. 2 Likes |

Frigga13: And what must obi do to be accepted in the north? Convert to Islam? Donate hundreds of millions to IDPs? Go and wash plate at Sultan of Sokoto’s palace? What gave you people the impression that for any southerner to get anything in this country he must first come to bow to the north? |

Penguin2: Obi is doing what he should be doing ... now against next election.. that’s the very idea of Obi constesting .. He have to sell himself to the North .. not he’s ideas alone . The ideology of an average Northerner differs from the south.. We don’t reason alike in Nigeria and that’s the very problem .. is a language thing.. and understanding .. Nigeria would have been much better if we have a common native Nigeria .. that’s the bane of everything in Nigeria .. The south knows and understand obi.. the North don’t see him like that.. he’s igbo.. Christian .. Gej was lucky .. rare luck. Obasanjo is their person to an extend .. he grew together with them .. Awolowo never did Abiola .. Talk more Tinubu Peter strength is his relationship with northern Christians.. the Catholics.. Taraba Adamawa Gombe jos kaduna Benue Bornu are aleast 45/56% Christians This is his first venturing into that part of the country politically on his own .. Atiku introduced him .. he should sell himself well .. first .. he’s ideas .. the. Learn their politcs make friends , prepare well and contest E no Dey Be by magic make south get power .. for Nigeria Tinubu made the most foolish mistake in 2015 and he will live regretting it .. And they .. Yoruba will keep making same mistake .. Is left for igbos to learn |

Kalashnikov49: Stop bringing Biafra talk when Igbo presidency is being discussed! It was injustice against Igbos that brought about demands for Biafra, if that injustice is addressed as it appears they're currently doing, then there won't be need for Biafra. Igbos have already invested billions of dollars across Nigeria and we need a large market to sell our products. |

Frigga13:You are expressing your opinion which of course is tainted with tribalism and ultra-negativity. Peter Obi has a wide national appeal and you know it but choose to lie to yourself. If we unbundle the north, Peter Obi will win handily in North Central while having an impressive showing in North West and North East. You don't expect him not to campaign and win more supporters if he clinches the ticket. You haters cum envious people are always jumping the gun. Firstly, it was the assertion that Peter Obi wouldn't run but would choose the cooziness of being Atiku's running mate. Then the man declared and has been topping the charts and surveys ever since. Now, your desperation and fear have driven you to throw up another loser argument: Peter Obi will not win. The fact that the forthcoming election is a toss up makes no sense to people like you who all sound and fury but succeed in not making any sense... PS...lol. You said Peter Obi was pushed into the presidential contest. How petty and hopeless can you sound? Who among the contestants have the level of global experience which Peter Obi has? The is a man who has been travelling all over the globe in the past 10 years studying economic growth. He has been to Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Morroco, South Korea, Vietnam, Phillippines, India, Pakistan, Brazil, South Africa, Netherlands, the UK, US, Israel just to mention a few. How many countries has your candidate visited? What do they know about economic roadmap and strategic planning for national renaissance? Don't get me started... |

Frigga13: This is rare sensible talk coming from you. I agree with you, the South is already behind Peter Obi and from the look of things, Northerners are not against him. However, he needs to make strategic inroads in the North. Unfortunately, a significant percentage of Northerners vote based on sentiments and perception. Peter Obi needs to take up a Northern traditional title, particularly from the NW, speak to them in the Hausa language if he knows it, wear their babanriga and danshiki during those tours and also visit their emirs. However, I guess that will come after he wins PDP ticket. Politics is local. |

Galaxyowerri: I’ve been in politics for decades .. I’m mixed Nigerian .. I love my igbo blood.. is bold . But my pain is that igbos don’t know who they’re and how others sees us.. if they know .. Na them suppose be people wey North and other Nigerians suppose the pay homage .. Other Nigerians know this .. and they know igbos don’t know .. Ojukwu fought Nigeria .. out of pressure and what’s at then.. Biafra is good .. Nigeria is better if you guys understand Nigeria |

Frigga13:as Igbo person u said the truth Peter is a project. Some Igbos are yet to understand it. We Igbos can't get presidency without being trusted. Igbos becoming a vice to a northern candidate is a short root to presidency. If Atiku clinch the ticket I believe he will make obi his vice that is why he told Obi to declare and also galvanize support by moving round the country to send signals. Igbos should relax. Kalu too knows y he is supporting lawan. Only the wise will understand the politics that is going own. 1 Like |
