I got mine in a week.

Went to their office very well dressed. One officer saw me and said he has seen his wife. I said me kwa, I have seen my husband.

That was how he was carrying my file upandan.
“Capture my wife!”.

E ask for number, I give am.

Two days later I told him I want to take him for lunch. He said “haba, by 2pm? I would be working”. Of course I knew he would be working. I just wanted it to be on record that I offered. Though I knew his response before asking.

Immediately he called that my passport was out. I collected it and blocked him.

This regime has spoilt everything. It's not easy anymore cos the booklets are not readily available anymore.
Back in 2017, when I got it newly, I applied same day via an officer and got it same day.

But now, the booklets are not readily available. In fact, I did the renewal at Uyo, in Akwaibom last week but the officer complained badly due to unavailability of booklets.
Now, I don't know when mine will be ready.

You shouldn't have blocked him. You probably block others that would have got such treatment from him.

I got mine within a period of one week, though it was an express service and the cost was worth it.

Didn't regret it in a bit. You might want to try my plug if you wish to. Hit me up via the number in my signature

Is your plug also in Abuja?

Abuja far ooo and road safety issues.

I lost mine, already I have a photocopy of my data page, how do I go about the replacement or renewal?

Go here: https://passport.immigration.gov.ng/application

Select ---> Renew/Re-issue Passport
Fill in the fields with the requisite information.
Don't forget to input your old passport number in the "Passport Number" field.
In the "Change Type" field, chose "Lost/Replacement Request".

Then Proceed to complete the application as usual. It will be useful to depose to an affidavit stating the facts of your passport loss. Costs 1k at the courthouse.

Good luck.

I don’t know if there’s an expression option online, but if you’re going with immigration officers, I think it’s about 100K now. Some months back it was 80K.

Location is Enugu, but you can try middle belt states like Jos and Benue.. it’s cheaper there.

Well, every good persons want that but those currently benefiting from the bad system won't want that to happen. Hence they will continue to frustrate any process to change the order, thereby creating more poverty & weakening the system. With just #500 they can easily mobilize millions of poor people to keep supporting them. I.e. Bishop saga, etc. The education system is also deliberately destroyed for a reason. Nigeria can never get bitter at least not within the next 100 years.

a bad system doesn’t appear wrong to those who benefit from it. The sorry state of Nigeria today.
Nigeria needs to be fixed ASAP.

I am not doubting the OP and the process highlighted ...

But ..

I just hope it's not something he/she decides to put out to gain likes and retweets or to project the image of Nigeria's Immigration Services...

Anyways..if you want to try...try the steps highlighted, but the last time I checked...those officers will frustrate you and that journey of 6weeks she said, if you no pay extra to the officers, go take months!!!

Good luck.

She's right .
I got mine exactly after 4weeks but mine cost 30k.

First of all, do you think capturing can be be done in a week or two?? Even 3 weeks self you can't mostly by a month will you get capturing, so please stop the false statement on this, even in the news of lately, the senate passed a hearing investigating why passport are not being issued now someone is online claiming they got theirs within 6weeks no be juju be that.
