Please my friend you have to be educated go to Europe go to America the international price of fuel is about $1 10 . this is the international price .Nigeria borrows money to subsidize fuel Nigeria use is patient needs money salary and things to subsidised fuel Ghana is a open market economy Nigeria is a borrowed market economy where the government is the biggest employer and borrows money to employ lazy idiot which cannot even work. This is one of the reasons we do not have anything in the country you cannot be borrowing money to subsidize things which cannot be even paid for in the future. Today Nigerian debt repayment is 110%

If you have the time, watch this video and surely you will know part of the reason this country, a rich country for that matter is in the situation it is.

Anybody that says Ghana is better than Nigeria, is a big liar. Let me tell you the honest truth, Ghana is only better than Nigeria in aspect of electricity and security. But wait, isn’t that the key parameters to measure if a country is doing good?

I came to Ghana in 2021, I can’t say it’s the worst decision of my life. But I have had my own fair share of the popular saying “This is Accra, Cry your Cry” omo, it has been hard, but I cannot say that there hasn’t been days that were extremely good.

I came into this country using an iPhone 7, now I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max, it was in this country I met davido one on one. This time last year I was a millionaire here in Ghana. So u see, I cannot say Ghana has been bad to me.

Fast forward to today, I am penniless. At the verge of being thrown to the street. House rent is due in few weeks time. No money for bank account, I don’t even know where the money will come from. I have contemplated returning back to Nigeria, but am I going to borrow the money to do so? Even if I return back to Nigeria now, will I return back to my father’s house? These are the questions.

Well, for now. I think I have to keep being positive and remain on my grind, hoping for God to make a way for me. That’s my only hope.

I am also a 29 year old Nigerian who moved to Accra in 2020.

Truly the cost of living is higher in Ghana when compared to Nigeria, while Electricity and Security is a big plus here.

But brother, you need to quit winning and understand that the grass is green where you water the ground

If you say you were once a millionaire in Accra, then you need to remember the child of who you are as you take care of your expenditures.

You don't have to stereotype Accra as if that's the main problem.

I live an OK life in North Kaneshie, Orgle rd to be precise and I live way below my means.

Which Ghana u dey talk the one I know or another one....

Ghana was Exchanging Dollar at 6.5GHC as at Dec right now as at today they're exchanging there dollar at 11.6 GHC which kain Inflation be that....

You people will just come online and be reading about country experience am first u go sing song nobody go tell u....

You dey mind that mentally unstable buffoon called Mr manager naija news on YouTube.
This the same fo.ol from kogi state that went into the streets of lagos snapping women behind.
Ghana of today is on the verge of collapse.
Cedis as at today is 11:64 peswas.
If you do that one to one... that's like 1,164 naira for dollar.
The just released the inflationary figures at 37 plus percent and I tell you what, that figure is a fat lie cos inflation is around 45 percent.
Small business are dying because of how bad cedi has depreciated.

I am in ghana also . Having millions in Naira converted to ghana cedis is nothing . If you have 5 million in Naira it’s better you invest it in Nigeria than investing it here in ghana . 5 million in ghana is like 1 million naira .

I tell people the average Ghanaian has 1 -3million in Naira which he or she can waste around or play with . If he should come to Nigeria he would spend it good . But in ghana it’s nothing . Even when you invest and making the money the cost of things is triple to the cost of things in Nigeria so you find out the system is taking your money back because you have to also save here and try to save back home . At the end you might not get anything .

The average car conductor in ghana uses a brand new 100k android phone . Even thou he might not be educated much he only has primary - secondary school certificate .

Also you would be shocked to see many of them using iPhone 11-13 pro without tangible jobs . Not that they do yahoo yahoo but it’s easy to make the money or get loans to acquire such here as citizens . 500k to Nigerian who sees it as money a Ghanaian doesn’t see that money converted to his currency as money . It’s useless .

I sometimes spend 10 k daily which I might not know what the money is spent on . But back home in Nigeria I wouldn’t spend that much . Cost of diesel here in ghana is 1300 per litter and cost of petrol is 1,100 so you should know that with such the cost of transportation also and food is far too expensive .

Cheese balls sold at 50 naira to 60 naira in Nigeria is sold here at 300 naira . Make I no even start to mention other things una go fear fear

Some of us have traveled far and wild and will not come to nairaland to act foolish.sh.
To be very honest with any Nigerian wishing to come to ghana, please don't come cos alot of Nigerians would have come back if not for the security situation back home.
Benin republic as at today is better than ghana.
Cfa as at yesterday is 16.58 from 9.4 this time last year.

You were a millionaire once, you upgraded from iphone 7 to iphone 12 pro max just like that, you even met davido in person, I'm guessing in a club where you went to ball hard on top your small million.

You didn't tell us if you invested in a business or acquired a skill during your happy time or what happened to the source of your income during your days of balling!

I pray you find your feet and your finances improve legitimately, and you become wise from these experience

To get iPhone 12 pro in ghana is not that hard . Even my two cousin who don’t have jobs in ghana here are using it . The value of the cost of it compared to here is different . In Nigeria we look at it like say na person wey be well to do dey use am . In ghana it’s a different case .

Don't get it confused Mr. Man. Many people succeed in Nigeria, but success is easier abroad and life is also better.

You people ar not getting if you say Nigeria is worst Ghana isn't an option cause dere worst nobody understand again dere Govt is clueless right now the way dere Dollar dey jump nobody understand again....

Derr fuel also is around 10GHC that's like 700naira to 750..

Many Ghanaians are complaining of the present government and inflation.....This is Ghana that has since been more expensive than Naija.... It is just like spending in a mini abroad though still in Africa.

Most people don't know Nigeria is still the cheapest African country or one of the first 3 cheapest African countries..... Our government needs to get it right on security and electricity, 'meter' every house..... Meter from Cotonou ( with assembly plant @ Ouidah, President Patrice Talon's hometown) is 13000-20000frs depending on quality/ durability and if it is single or 2 phase meter..... From Cameroon, it is 4000-8000frs..... Cameroon seems cheaper than Ghana especially on local food.... Not bad on processed food eg Spaghetti etc but Naija is cheaper for processed food and drinks( Ghanaian drinks are expensive like in Francophone countries)....

Benin to me is better than Ghana apart from schooling unless you don't mind following the French system of schooling and attending it's government institutions which are in French and not so cheap( 200,000 frs for Beninoise as of 2020) and for those advocating that one can go into the hinterlands in Ghana, living in NEAT Ouidah( has toll gates) or Pahou is okay too(1hr+ from main entry park)...No Police on the road, not to talk of Police intimidation in Benin.

Hoping things will be better in Nigeria.... If not for the way things are and lack of integrity in our people, we don't need to really solicit for foreign investors when many Nigerians are outside and can bring businesses and partnerships apart from foreign currencies, into Nigeria.

Nigeria is geographically bigger than Ghana and the road networks are more.... Bigger markets( Stock exchange, FGN bonds, Treasury bills, market size) due to our population ( though APC slowed down the market for a long time).

Zimbabwe's inflation this week is more than 90%.

God BLESS Nigeria, it deserves our prayers despite having bad leaders

I appreciate all the responses. To answer the most asked questions as regard what am I doing here? I came to Ghana with the mind of establishing a business which I did. I opened a laundry and barbing shop in the same plaza. I faced so many challenges from Ghanaians and their government which later resulted to the folding up of the business. Now I need help to return back to Nigeria

You mean Ghanaians maltreated you? And their government also?

I've always known we share more in common with Cameroonians, than we do those Ghanaians. Even looking at the map of Africa would confirm that.

It might be better taking my money to Cameroon for business than going to that useless Ghana afterall...
