We've not had sex for a while, then some days ago he came back from work and forced himself on me. I told him no but he kept going on. When he finished he left me like that without saying anything & left the house. He hasn't returned since then.

Does he feel guilty & sorry for what he did or Should i still go ahead to report to the police.

That's definitely rape, as you didn't consent. That you're married doesn't mean he has the right to force you. Whether you report him or not should depend on whether you want to continue the marriage or not.

If yes, the rest of your marriage will probably be a miserable one thereafter.

If no, go ahead and report him to the police.

1. Both hubby and wife should have talked over why there is no sex in the house and resolve the issue or understand their difference

Yes women use sex a tool to communicate, through denying or giving it

2. The woman should have mentioned her own reason or undestanding why their is no sex in the house

3. The point is you dont commit a crime to get what you want

Unfortunately, his lawyer friend is right. Spousal rape does not exist in Nigeria. Simply read the definition of rape under the VAPP act, criminal code and penal code. How do you convict someone for a crime that does not exist.

I guess u think rape is something that happens only between strangers... What the man did is Nonconsensual..
